Re: Show off your graphics!
looks great! excuse me for misgendering your hero. I should have looked more closely at the big graphic.

I like the spring in her step, it's a really good run cycle.

Re: Show off your graphics!
It's been a while since I posted an update but here we go!
For those who don't know, I've been secretly working on my 8-bit game again. It's weird going back to it after so long. Not to mention that I was pretty much a noob when I started. Because of that everything is very noob-ish. But anyway, I've decided to stick with it and hopefully get some work done on it, at the very least a demo. One of the new things I did, was redo the title screen. I hated the original. The stars in the background (if you can call it that) looked like a child did it in MS Paint. The text was clearly Final Fantasy Font. With two words on top of each other to get an effect. So I redid it all. The only thing I didn't redo was the sphere, as I feel that was one of the things that worked, but I digress. Without further ado here's my much better (imo) background:

Re: Show off your graphics!
Playing around with the OHRRPGCE Custom editor. This might be a game later, or maybe just graphics practice.
The guy with shades was edited from one of the default sprites, everything else is from scratch!
edit: Trying out more of the engine beyond just the graphics editor now. Made a vehicle and now you can run over some enemy npcs if you don't want to fight them.

Not for any game in particular, but more pixel-art practice!
128x128, 16 colors.

Re: Show off your graphics!
Here's a little something I've been working on.
Tiles and Walkabouts are unfinished, colors and contrast are all messed up. Note the funny sky and ill fitted rocks
Got the dialog bubbles finished today. Poor boy misses his girl
Battle system. Draws enemies in range automatically in (for now they become green), then you fight them in turns. Plays a bit like the one from older Dragon Quest games, only on the normal map.
Time to quaff a potion.
For some inspiration you might want to have a look at Abuse (https://github.com/Xenoveritas/abuse), which had a similiar control scheme. Also, it's free.

Is it ohr?
Wait... I'm counting pixels on those maptiles, and I see 22x22 so probably not OHR... But that tile size raises its own set of questions
