Yeah, I would have expected the SharpSeed. I've never seen anyone wield a carrot sword, but it is an interesting idea (I did have a character who used a carrot club and a fish boomerang once).

Vorpal Pavender, if memory serves. I was just thinking about that weapon the other day...along with Vlad's Rapier and the Viviplunger.

I don't recognize any of the other weapons. Or get the Gilgamesh reference. Probably something to do with the SNES Final Fantasies.

Gilgamesh originally appeared in FF5, but he has since appeared in FF8, FF9, and FF12.

Point given. I wanted it to have two tones, but with only using one green. Then I remembered jade can appear as a greenish-blue mineral in addition to green and even yellowish tones as well.

I seem to recall he COULD beat people WITH a carrot?
James Paige wrote:Second-left hand is wielding the Pavender from Bobquest and Wandering Hamster
I was thinking of a more fish-like version of Bob Surlaw's Crisis Sword, usung a fish's skull and jawbone for the pointed end of the blade, and the ribs as the pointed protrusions of the blade itself. The Pavender works well too, so I'm counting it.
James Paige wrote:The FAKE sword reminds me of Excalipoor, but I am guessing it is really a reference to a sword in an OHR Joke game.
Gilgamesh appears in FFXII, weilding various Final Fantasy heroes' trademark weapons. Notable amoung these is Cloud Strife's Buster Sword, which has Kanji on the blade which could be translated as either "Replica" or "Fake".

Since nobody is likely to get this one, the REAL joke weapon is in his bottom right (left?) hand - Housemaster's "Seesaw Gun Swallow" from Arfenhouse 4, a weapon that uses a trigger-operated seesaw motion to swing a pair of sharpened blades repeatedly. The sword itself borrows elements from FF8's Gunblade, and Chrono Cross's Swallow-type weapons.
James Paige wrote:EDIT: Now that I think about it, the Sword that the top-left-hand is holding has a big red triangle on it. Could it be the one that accompanies the Devil Armor given to Mr Triangle by the demon squirrel?
Another spot-on observation! :)

He's ALSO appeared in FF1 DoS, FF4: The After Years, FF5, FF6: Advance, FF8, FF9, FF12, Ff12-2, and Dissidia as a bit-part.

Right on both counts!

I was so bust gaping at the wondrous graphics that I didn't notice the comment beneath it.

This is for Vikings of Midgard? Crisis on Infinite Hamsters?

I am highly intrigued by this!

Welll, I did remember that Gilgamesh was in Dawn of Souls, but he seemed like such a minor throwaway enemy (and a fairly random mythological reference). Now I'm guessing that most (if not all) of the optional bosses were from other FF games.

All told, good work Fenrir.

Gilgamesh was a minion in Final Fantasy V, basically the Ultros of that game (if you played VI), and the comic relief villain if you haven't. He became rather popular, and has cameo'd in most every FF game since.

Actually, if i am correct, Bob didn't ever use a carrot sword. HOWEVER, in Halloween Quest 2, the main character, Josh, dresses up as Bob the Hamster and uses a carrot sword.

I figure I should post these here too, since I went ahead and posted 'em on Castle Paradox a few seconds ago.

Yeah, everything's green... like back on the old toaster-sized Game Boy.

And of course, there's Yo Ghosts. They're not a major part of the game, though--just one of the many random-encounter enemies that can also become your party members.

And as an added bonus, you'll be able to name everyone on my Hamsterspeak #36 art submission by the time you reach the end of the game.

Oh my, would this be a Pokemon style game?

If so, I'm very exited to play it. If not, I'm curious to see what it is eather way.
Blip.

This creepy-looking guy isn't one of the random enemies you can have as party members, though you'll see several of them throughout the game (only one in the part I've finished so far; he shows up in the sewers, of course.)

Try to guess what they're supposed to be!
