This game was entered into the 2020 Heart of the OHR contest, where it won 14th Place.
Slimes World is, put simply, incomplete. All of its features are front-loaded. Once you've completed the (admittedly very well-done and intriguing) character creation process, the game's practically over. It's extremely telling that even the first map of the game feels incomplete, with doors that appear to be functional but do nothing. The crafting system hints at something promising in the future, but in its current state, the few things you're expected to craft require just enough resources to where it feels like excessive padding. Beyond these simple quests, there seems to be nothing to do, though there is a surprisingly large world map to explore, and it is kinda fun to see the skeleton of the world the author has in planning. The visuals, though simple, are appealing, and it's obvious a lot of work went into the UI for custom menu elements. This could one day be an interesting, unique game, but in its current state, there just isn't much of anything to see. My advice to the developer is to plan out the entire scope of the world and what kind of adventure the player will experience, where they'll go, what they'll do, before proceeding with the more mechanical aspects of the game. Lots of games have crafting systems and character creation - the context surrounding these mechanics is just as important.
