I've been following the development of Amazing Treasure Valley and I realised today that I hadn't played Samanthuel's other games yet, so I decided to try Samanthuel's Lovely Home. I love it! It's a very sweet little game that's full of flavour. I really like the graphics, especially the colour palette - it makes the area feel very cosy. Samanthuel is one of those artists whose work feels like you're looking directly into their brain, which is always a treat. The frogs in the forest made me feel warm and fuzzy inside, and as someone who's trying to create my own graphics right now, those huge trees make me feel fear. It's a very short game (took me about 15 minutes) and there isn't a huge amount to explore, but it does what it says on the tin, so I don't mind. You could play it while drinking a cup of tea, or something.
I can't tell how much of the area is based on real life and how much is fantasy, but I hope that the beetles are real :-)
