I make the rules and you MUST obey!

We tried this on Castle Paradox and it soon became impossible to post. Let's try again.

1. Each reply to this thread must contain exactly one new rule. The number of the rule is the first available number that follows the most recent rule number. In case of ninja-posting, ignore any posts with duplicated rule numbers.

2. Every post must follow its own rule and all rules leading up to it.
2b. In case of a conflict that makes it impossible to follow all rules, follow the highest-numbered rules. For example, if rule 23 says all rules must be written in Klingon and rule 25 says all even-numbered rules must be written in Mordor-tongue, you should write rule 26 in Mordor-tongue.
2c. In the interest of keeping this thing running, if no one posts for a week, you may invoke Rule 2c to destroy every rule beginning with rule 5 and unzap all zapped players. In this case, your post should contain the new Rule 5.

3. If someone breaks a rule, you may ZAP them by quoting the offending text and any rule broken. (If more than one rule is broken, you need only quote one of the broken rules.) Players who are ZAPPED may not post for another 5 posts. Note that when ZAPPING a player, you must still follow rule 1 and post a new rule.

4. Rules may modify other rules, but no rule may modify rules 1 through 4 (except 2b, which may be modified). All other rules must be modifiable.

5. Posts containing prime-numbered rules must include the

emoticon.

Although it may seem implied by Rule 2, I will explicitly declare:

6. Posters may only be zapped for posts that disobey rules that came before the offending post (or are created in the offending post).

So that there is no 'retroactive' zapping, even though it would be grand to invoke a rule like "all posts have to have the number 15278 somewhere in the post" and then zap Mogri for starting the thread off incorrectly. Take this as a clarification of Rules 2 and 3, since according to the tyrant who runs the board I cannot modify them.

7.In the case of a dispute about the interpretation of a rule, the final judge on the validity of a questionable ZAP is the originator of the rule.

For those reading this thinking that this is just a bunch of obvious BS, I was once involved in something like this that became stupid really quickly because people argued about this kind of stuff.

By Spoonweaver, ruler of heaven and earth, 15 is divisible by 5 and 3. Where'd you go to school? (In the spirit of rule 12, I'll guess Harvard or better!) I ::ZAP:: you for rule 14, though.
