Final batch of regular bestiary entries! Once I add the final bosses there will be 77 different enemy types in the game. I'm pretty happy with that!

Because I can never take a break, I'm working on a new Walthros minigame that will be added after launch. It's a board game where you roll dice and get bonuses for getting to the end in fewest turns.

Character creation: You'll get to select species, one of four palettes, and mood. Here we've got a neutral, blank, happy, and grouchy fish.

Oh! That is awesome! I remember one of the Dragon Quest games had a mini-game like that (V maybe?) And I loved it.

Here's the original Beta City Crew when they were kids and how they look in Walthros: Renewal. The younger versions are for a project separate from the main game.

I can honestly say this is the only game release in the last two years I've actually been excited for.

Think I'm at where the first demo ended and I think the polish and stuff you've put on the game up to that point is pretty solid. I emailed you a screenshot of what appears to be some wall clipping in the Alpha City area. There's also a lack of quitting to title and then quitting in general so I've had to hard close out each session.

I like that I can kind of play about an hour-ish each session and it comfortably keeps me going. I've played about 1.5 hours and I'm supposed to go into the Bayswater Forest next. I think this is probably the best game you've ever made, with Ghost's Towns being my favorite before it. The pacing is really great. Lots of good decisions so far. Also Glock and Mr. 8bit have some bangers in here.

Congratulations and great job.

Thanks, the quit button has been brought up a couple times but it's actually at the request of some platforms now. I had to remove it in recent updates for Kaiju on Android and Amazon Fire to pass certification, so I took it out of Walthros in advance even though I'm not ready to move it over there yet.

I think quitting to the title screen will be fine, but I need to add per-platform options to disable quitting from the app entirely.

I can make those default to disabled for platforms like Android, and default to enabled for other platforms

First patch is up on Steam and Itch:

-Fixes to battle graphics for temporary hero (B.)
-Minor tile layering fixes.
-Rearranged main menu so menu bar no longer clips over total money.
-Adjusted retry load point after specific bosses.
-Added Return to Title option.
-Adjusted color palette for Bright and Flat options.
-Added new color palette: Party - Adds a pink-purple hue to visuals.

Streamed another hour or so of the game tonight and had a good time. Finished part 1 at about three hours. I really like the differences to the original and also how this also does it's own thing. I also really like how Walrus Man will always and forever be the hungry rage monster we all know him as.
