A 72 hour game jam (gamejolt DreamHack)
Is anybody in the mood to make a tiny game in a really short amount of time?
The rules are pretty wide open, and teams are allowed
It runs from Friday September 29 to Sunday October 1st

I think that your sidescoller scripts would count as a "programming library"The Rules wrote:You can use any existing tools, engines, languages, or programming libraries.
Yes, the point is that they're generic scripts which aren't specific to a game. Often contests (OHR or otherwise) specify that existing code/scripts are allowed as long as they're publicly available, or alternatively that private libraries of scripts are allowed, but this jam's rules aren't clear that point. Doesn't matter for you.
I'm strongly considering entering, will wait and see.
I see that this contest encourages livestreaming your development. Sounds fun; I would do that.

I have something planned for this, and I'm livestreaming my development process.
I like competition, but I like co-operation more. I don't mind a bit of teamwork. I would like to share ideas or hear feedback. If there is time, I guess.
Good luck everyone who is participating. Let's do our best! Yosh!

OK, cool! Have you done any livestreaming of it yet? You might want to link to it; far less fun waiting it not-live or reading a devlog after the contest.
I'll link Hawk's devlog here, because what's the point if you don't read it?

my twitch is VirtuaSword, and the game I have entered is called "Days devoured by nightmares" found here: https://gamejolt.com/games/devouredbynightmares/286867
I am not sure if I can finish it. I livestreamed a bit, but it was mostly drawing.
I have lots of ideas that I haven't written yet. Hopefully I will get time to put it all in order before the contest ends.

I'm making some good progress on mine too. If anyone wants to follow it, you can find it at https://gamejolt.com/games/beat/286971.
I got a friend to help me with some sprites so there will be more going on visually in the game. If it's just myself, I'd be more likely to settle on repaletting and whatnot. (that being said, if anyone else wants to take part, and didn't have time to commit to a full game, I could honestly use some help, in any field). I think I'll be able to finish? I don't know, I'll probably get to some level of completion, whether or not it's where I want to take it. Thankfully most of the game mechanics are in place. Maptiles are probably the biggest roadblock.
