You can get to it from my website which is linked in my signature. Links to everything I've done are there. But here's a Steam link to it: https://store.steampowered.com/app/584860/Surfasaurus/

If anybody has time this week to test the convention build of Axe Cop please reach out to me. You're also welcome to playtest the full game, but the convention build is a big priority for me since I need it bug-free for a week from this coming Saturday. Feel free to PM me and I'll send the information. Convention demo consists of two demo choices, each lasts about 15 minutes or so.

Oh, I get it now, you didn't set the prices for the new currencies on Steam, that's why I can't see it. :v:

Alright dudes, off to the convention. It's a full day tomorrow from 10am to 8pm. I'll try to remember to post pictures here when I get back but I'll be posting live photos on Saturday on the Red Triangle Games facebook page if you guys are into that, www.facebook.com/redtrianglegames.

Convention was a huge success! Lots of people were really into the game. Lots of enthusiasm and lots of love. I'm so glad I had the demo tested multiple times because some of the changes, especially TMC's last minute notes, saved the entire Lab demo. The game ran smooth. No engine crashes or anything. The worst part of the day was when the laptop accidentally got unplugged and lost power temporarily. My wife and I handled the day like champs and at the end of the day we had 29 people sign up for an email list and tons of people taking rack cards and business cards. I posted more stuff on social media but for those that don't keep up with that I wanted to share. Everything ran nearly non-stop for 7.5 hours and nothing awful happened game-wise. I consider this all to be a massive win.

Oh, this is awesome. Very professional setup. So pleased to hear it's a success.

What did you have on the pamphlets?

For those wondering, the reason I suggested making changes to the guard-avoidance minigame is because I was such a bad player that I got stuck on it, stubbornly trying to cut corners. But the final variant you showed me did seem miles easier, I wondered whether it would be too simple.

Also, haha, nice bumper sticker.

Been a little while since I shared an update. Life has been getting the better of me for a while so production has been slow but still proceeding. The next segment is in London and we're fighting Dr. Doo Doo. There are several chunks to the level, and the first chunk is reminiscent of the Megaman X highway, so that's been fun to do. Right now we're working on inside of the House of Parliament.

It's a lot of work cause it's basically new sets of tiles for each major room. We're nearing completion of the 1st room, just got some edits on a back wall and it's done.

<img src="https://www.redtrianglegames.com/img/de ... elect5.png">

We're chipping away at all of the content here and there for the new demo and one thing needed was the portrait for the next mission to tease players. It will follow the story of when Bat Warthog Man lost his friends inside of a giant monster. The premise is very influenced by Wandering Hamster and Bob being trapped in the snake, but also mixed with Monstro the whale from Kingdom Hearts. I suspect lots of cysts and boils for Axe Cop to chop and it'll be gross but excellent. Will be nice to work on a mission with a consistent tileset again instead of all of the changes in London. It's worth it, just a lot of work.

The sense of perspective on the building tiles is really impressive. I love how much detail you can wring out of 4 colours.

Hard to move forward real fast when so much of the area takes place in the same room. I have a lot of scenes and activities planned in this one area. Spoonweaver's new minigame will be here, there's like 4-5 cutscenes planned here. I'm working on the first huge sprite fight cutscene I've done since Mr. Triangle's Adventure. Not sure how long it will be but it should be pretty fun either way.

<img src="https://www.redtrianglegames.com/img/de ... opking.gif">

It's between Book Cop and the King of England. Book Cop uses magic books to throw out at people. I'm planning a lot of projectile throwing and blocking and a lot of Dragonball Z type intensity. Some fast teleport punches. Like I said, not sure how long it'll be, but it should be satisfying I think.

A neat thing about London, at least from my perspective as a developer... This is the first really huge story centric level. There's 24 new characters, and 59 total in the game. So nearly half of the game's cameos and references are in this mission. The story's were good in the previous missions, but this one is a lot more character driven. It consists of two parts and it feels weird but solid. The bridge portion which is like MMX's intro stage, and then a more linear dungeon which is the House of Parliament. It's moving slow but turning out how I envisioned.

I love the look of that map. Even if the lines don't all geometrically converge to the same point, it's got something much more important: unique character, and it sounds like this chapter of the game will be one of the highlights. But, why are the Houses of Parliament such a wreck?

Dr. Doo Doo has destroyed London with Hasta Mia and her army of zombies. All of London is in ruins! Thanks for the compliments. Soda and I have been priding ourselves on the effort for this room in particular of the mission. We had a big "best for the game" talk and I think the cutscene I was just describing will be reduced to the beginning of it and then become a special boss battle of Book Cop vs. King of England as a real fight. We thought it'd make a memorable scene even more memorable.

<img src="https://www.redtrianglegames.com/img/de ... sketch.png">

Last year we did a Christmas card, and it was pretty great. This year we're doing an official Axe Cop mug. I've been given the okay to sell more of them, so if anybody here would like to order a mug, this is the concept art Soda Piggy drew up. We're likely going to finish the artwork today or tomorrow. Mugs will have fancy hot chocolate and a generous pile of peppermint marshmallows to go with them. I'm not trying to profit off of this, so I'm going to sell them as close to what I'm paying for as possible. $12 for a mug, plus shipping. If you like in the USA, we can plan for about $6 for shipping. In the event shipping is less than that I can send the difference back to you through paypal. International orders will be a little trickier, but do-able. I have a couple of those already on the list. This mug is also going to be our fun and festive way of displaying all the playable characters in the game.

If you want one, just send the money to colesloth@gmail.com, and please send as a friend so that Paypal doesn't take any fees out. I'm hoping to order the mugs this week, maybe get them next week, and ship them out within 1 to 2 days of getting them in.
