ta Bob, i appreciate that. also... don't be angry... it's all for you... everything I do is for you and the community... I love the OHR and am willing to die for it...
please, don't say no... take me with you Bob, wait, where are you going? nooooo
in all seriousness, I am finding it hard to continue working on games, but I have a design doc and lots of ideas for it.
It would be nice if I could get it all together in time.

I started on a collision system from scratch the other day, and this time it works better than the last system, I SWEAR
Its probably more intensive due to using slices rather than variables

Re: What kind of art? What kind of future? What kind of engine?
I try to post something here every 6 months, but I don't have much to show right now.
Still, I'm learning a lot of things and trying hard, and hope you all are too.

Re: What kind of art? What kind of future? What kind of engine?
Trying to post in this thread semi-regularly and being in a community was a very cool experiment for me.
However, I think that I failed, unfortunately, so I will not continue updating this thread in any kind of consistent manner, and will probably not continue to be a presence in the community (thank god, eh?)... looks like I annoyed you all for nothing, haha.
In retrospect, trying to get banned was probably an extension of these ideas, but I didn't have the courage to walk away or cut people off. Sorry for the trouble.
I'm still going to tinker and such (as always), but, I find the pressure and attention (of others) somewhat off-putting. Don't post here to say goodbye, I'm not going anywhere. I just don't want to interact with others anymore.
I hope you all got some inspiration to realise your projects in the context of the OHR. I know I did.
And if you do have inspiration, consider making a thread to share it! That'd be nice.

Re: What kind of art? What kind of future? What kind of engine?
Thanks Sword. I've been meaning to re-start posting in my engine devlog thread too, so people have a sense of what's happening. Posting regularly is harder than it looks (for people like me anyway).
Is Ravancloak wanting to make something out of that? Looks neat.
I think the problem with pressure and attention comes from these experiments you build usually looking really ambitious. Most of them look like a prototype for a full-fledged game, a whole platformer or RPG, with all these unfinished bits, instead of unambitious self-contained experiments like Super Amazing Blue Ball Game or Who left all these clowns here? or <3. Not a criticism, since the goal is likely experimentation itself rather than to get to declare a project complete. I used to argue that getting something done and polished should be the strived for but I'm starting to wonder, why should it be? Just so we feel less anxiety for leaving something half-finished? Doesn't seem to bother Charbile, which works super well for him.

Re: What kind of art? What kind of future? What kind of engine?
time flies. life is busy. i haven't had a chance to work on anything since last time...
but i still think of you all a lot... hope you are doing well and keep well...
life is more serious than making games, it seems... my attention is often merited elsewhere
how can i talk about making games when so many important events are happening around me?
I regret I could not keep up with the pace of my own life.
I often sought the help of others because I believed they could support or assist me, but...
I mean I tried a few times to be sincere but it was pretty embarassing... nevermind, slime this slime haha...
I worry it is a burden to others. Certainly it is a burden to me.
Who could guess that we could live in such a fragile future? I feel ashamed to ask for anything...
Behind the stroke of the brush is the artist, and the artist will outlive all art.
I hope I contributed something worthy to your lives. If not, I'm not torn up about it.
I'll come back and try again.
Maybe another time, like in the next 10-15 years, god willing.

Re: What kind of art? What kind of future? What kind of engine?
I'm still alive and working on things.
I have a little 3D game I'm making in Godot currently.
I have vague ideas it will be a roguelike, with some platforming and combat and things.
It is a lot of fun to learn! I find many recurring problems and themes in game design.
I hope I develop more, and I hope you all do too.
Love xXx
