Is extracting hss files from your game, possible?

Post by Sparoku »

I ask because I want to edit one of my older games a bit, for funzies, but I don't have the .hss file anymore.

If it's possible to nab my .hss file directly from the game and save myself hours of re-writing every single script, I'd love to know!

It depends on how old the game is.

More recent versions store a backup copy of the .hss inside the rpg file.

You can send me a copy of the rpg file, and I will see what I can extract.

No luck, I am sorry to say. That rpg file was far too old. The scripts were still in a very old format that does not contain and backup of the .hss file.

Then email the game to me, and I'll run the scripts through my HS Decompiler utility for you.
