CAMPAIGN: Queen Arkwyn's Crown (D&D5e)

"That's his room right there where Vit just went. I don't know where he is right now though, I only just woke up a few minutes ago."

He nods and starts heading out to the room. He pats his satchel to make sure the box wasn't replaced by some other thing.

Nothing has been added to Hyne's satchel, and the only thing that seems to be missing is the big box that held the crown.

The last bunkroom on the starboard side is where the pigeon fled.

This room is messier than the others. The top bunk has clothing piled on it. The bottom bunk is rumpled and cluttered. several tattered books are strewn about on it, as well as a few loose playing cards, both on the bed and on the floor. The room smells a little of chewing tobacco.

The small chest built into end of the bottom bunk is wide open, and the pigeon is peering out warily.

The chest is lined with wood shavings, shredded paper, and strips of rags. It looks like a nest-box you might see a hen roosting in.

The pigeon coos and clicks.

The pigeon scurries around the nest box when Hyne peers in. There are some shiny trinkets in there, some fishing lures, a brass button, a small gold ear-ring, some large iridescent fish-scales.

There is no sign of Hyne's missing crown box. There is little chance the box would even fit inside of the chest, even if it wasn't cluttered with nesting material.

Hyne can hear Weisanna's voice back in the hall. "Good morning, Dirk!"

He takes the gold earring then pockets it as a gift for the lady. He looks to the parrot and tells it, "Just returning this to a friend." He carefully moves around the outer perimeter of the wall to get to the door and awaits an opportunity to leave without being seen.

The floor boards squeak just a bit as Hyne moves into view.

Dirk sees Hyne out of the corner of his eye, and flinches. He tries ineffectively to hide the box behind his back.

Weisanna gives Dirk a puzzled look. "What's that?" she asks.
