METACHAT: Queen Arkwyn's Crown (D&D5e)
Would anybody here be interested in trying a single-player D&D 5th edition campaign?
It would be rules-light and roleplay-heavy.
I would aim for a pace of about 1 post per day, maybe a little faster if you have the free time, but I would want to try to have at least one move per day.
The style will probably be similar to the Unburning campaign, but of course the pacing will be much much faster.
The setting is a forested kingdom near the ocean. The old King Ark has just died on the battlefields, and his daughter, Princess Arkwyn is about to ascend the throne to become the new Queen.
You would play a 4th level character. I'll assign a line of employment to you, and you can choose any race and class that you possibly think would be able to do that job. (for example, I might say you are a Pirate, but you wouldn't need to be a Rogue, you could decide that a Wizard-Pirate could get the job done.)
If more than one person is interested, and agreeable to the idea, I'll let you debate it out amongst each other ;)

Okay! I will run the campaign in this forum, so anyone who wishes can read it.
(I know we are all members of the Roleplaying subforum, but does anybody remember why the Roleplaying forum is hidden to non-members?)
Here is a little info so you can start making a character.
The kingdom is called Srappa. The King died what ought to have been a minor skirmish on the Jenna frontier.
The King's friend, Duke Borgen of Gnur has a good reason to think you are highly trustworthy (you can make up whatever reason you like) and at the beginning of the campaign, the Duke will entrust you with a secret mission to escort a small box back from the frontier to the Capital, and to deliver it to the Captain of the Guard.
Ask any setting questions you like, and hopefully we can get a lot of the basic local knowledge stuff out of the way before the campaign even really starts. And of course, feel free to totally make up setting stuff too-- I will mix it into whatever I already have whenever I possibly can.

Oh, just this bit!
"...at the beginning of the campaign, the Duke will entrust you with a secret mission to escort a small box back from the frontier to the Capital, and to deliver it to the Captain of the Guard."
So the line of employment would be "part time spy" I guess. But definitely no need to feel limited to Rogue.

Be careful, bro! These guys are always way sneakier (and talkative) than you think!and his mute bodyguard.
EDIT: PS, I'm gonna be starting my own one-on-one campaign soon. Anyone interested should PM (Or post 'em here, you naughty monkeys) me with your answers to the following questions:
What is your character wearing?
Which of your character's body parts would they describe at the most supple?
Essay Question: If your character were an ice cream cone, what they want me to do with them?
