"The area beyond seems to be clear, but with as tricky as this place seems I wouldn't put it past the denizens to have loaded the place with traps instead of creatures."

Kamaron looks around, then says, "I'll be back in a second."

With that, he leaves to get his gear together outside. He'll bring his warhorse along, mostly as a pack animal though. He ties the reins to his belt, to prevent the horse from bolting. Once back inside, he asks the others:

"Well, what's the next step?"

The horse refuses to go into the tomb no matter how much Kamaron tugs.

Catt puts the now emptied (but still foul-smelling) pot back where it came from, and she gingerly fishes the ruby necklace out of the other pot. She holds it like it is a dead rat.

"Any of you magic fellows know how to tell if gems are cursed?"

If the holy men of the party reply in the negative, she will harass the two silent robed people with the same question.

Horace shakes his head, "I can detect the strength of magic, but not what the curse does. Sir Sigmund may be able to detect if it is evil."

The gem necklace was not detected as magical. It is clearly very valuable though. Catt estimates the necklace at 1,000gp.

"I'm carrying this!" She announces to everybody, holding the necklace up. "We can split it up later." She drops it into her haversack.

"So, we opening any doors yet or what?"

Cat takes a closer look at the hallway that Kamaron and Horace are investigating, but she doesn't get in their way.

Kamaron ponders the problem. Eventually, he decides to unload everything from Pugsy and strap it to his own pack. It's a bit heavy, but it'll have to do. He leaves the feed though, as well as the tent and a few of the heavier items. He ties Pugsy to a piton driven into the ground before heading back to the others.

Once there, he says "Very well, if there is no other avenue open to us, then let's go ahead and open that door. Best to get it out of the way sooner rather than later."

The door opened easily. Another door sat five feet into the hallway. It had no door knobs.

"Curious." Kamaron turns to the others and asks, "Before proceeding with that next door, perhaps we should find out more about the rest of that inscription that Slickens found? I would rather not go into anything blind."

"I can check it for traps and... Hidden knobs, I guess" Catt suggests.

Noticing how much Kamaron is now hauling, Catt offers, "Hey, Grandpa! You want me to lug any of that for you?"

"Much appreciated, these old bones aren't quite what they used to be. If you don't mind, here are a few items I brought along that might be useful."

Kamaron gives Catt the following:
Portable Ram
Grappling Hook
Oil flask ×5
10-ft. Pole
Silk Rope
Magnifying Glass

Slickens attempts to sense the motives behind why someone would make a fake door so close behind a real one. And then he follows the others quietly.

Following Karamon's suggestion, he says, "Yes, this seems like a setup for another trap. There's no telling what will happen once we enter that hallway."

Slickens senses some sort of trap as he heads back towards the main hall and back to the small strange writtings in the ground between the tiles.

"I sense some sort of trap" Slickens announces to the others. They wouldn't know it, but he's emulating Blind Brother Martin, who used to make such declarations at least fifty times an adventure.

Personally, Slickens always thought the guy wasn't really blind. Too late to ask him now, though. "Boy," thinks the little goblin. "I'd love to punch the guy who took ol' BBM from us." He's gotta be close.
