27. Hydra
The snakiest. (I was very surprised to find that spellchecker doesn't underline "snakiest.")
28. Elemental of your choice
"Tree" technically isn't an element, but I suppose this could go for a "plant elemental" sort of thing in addition to being an ent-ish tree thing.
29. A secret boss.
Secret cow level.
30. [FREE SPACE]
Free space... which is now filled with BUGGITYNESS.
FYS:AHS -- Swapping out some step-on NPCs for zones + each step script
Puckamon -- Not until the reserve party is expanded.[/size]
DAY 1 - Slime
So, I'm super rusty, this is the best I can do for now! I'm hoping to get a bit better at converting things from Photoshop to their final versions as this one came out a little rough.
By the way, I am cool to hop in at day 1 at this super late stage, right?
DAY 2 - Hard-Shelled
I'm not as happy with the import job on this one. I think I should start doing the initial images with just thier base colour in PS, then adding the details in-engine. That way I won't have so much unwanted noise.
I've included the original this time too, so you can see what it looked like before I messed up the import! xD

He's a rather large enemy, which goes without saying!

How he looked pre-import, I feel that I probably used far too many small details with this one.

I actually did just that last night! So today's image will hopefully be a lot less garbled at the end. I might upload the swatch file to the wiki at some point so that no-one else has to go through the tedious process themself!
DAY 3 - Mimic
This little dude is a coineleon. As an infant, the lizard crawls through the keyholes on treasure chests, then gorge on the gold coins until they're too big to get out. When an adventurer is unfortunate enough to open the chest, a very hungry, angry coineleon bursts out and goes for the eyes.
I was a be pre-occupied during the weekend (Fathers Day, recoving from going on a bender with my Dad on Sunday...), but rather than squeeze a bunch of stuff in today, I'll just do things at the same pace from here on out.
Using the OHR palette in PS really helps, as does using the pencil tool, as that prevents the aliasing on the lines that the brush tool is really into adding.
EDIT: Wow that image was tiny! I've added a bigger version!

I remembered I forgot to post my final image for this contest, so here's a late one.
Day 30: This is a sprite for a reccurring antagonist character. He isn't actually a vampire, but his powers are so similar to one that he just kind of rolls with the whole vampire aesthetic, complete with a big swooshing cape. His shirt/cape color changes throughout the game, so in later appearances it might be purple or blue instead of red. He's just that fashionable of a guy.
