Also, here's a can of soup.

The former rogue Kung Fu Chicken Noodle Soup now fights for the Kaiju Heroes, but he's always been a loose cannon. In Fighto Fantasy, Noodle has a Rage stat that grows each time he takes or deals damage. Once you're ready to deal some serious damage, use his Rage Out command to unleash all of that pent up anger in one big attack! You can also Cool Off, zone out, and exchange your Rage to restore your MP.

Rage resets to zero once a fight ends, so use it while you can!

That palette cycling looks great - I see it's an idea that spreading! That sudden map/tileset change is also a great gimmick.

I'm wondering actually about that cycling. Are you hue shifting by rotating the red/green/blue components of each color, with smooth interpolation?

I took the existing main palette and shifted the hue in Photoshop by a set interval until it cycled back to the original palette, saving a new palette along each step. I think it was a total of 18 imported palettes.

If you've followed our progress and thought "This game is stupid, how do the Kaiju Big Battel heroes understand the language of ancient Egypt?" this one's for you!

How come some words are still in their original language, then? I'm not exactly sure, but I think that if you flex really hard while saying something the original phrase comes through the translator. I believe this was established in the Star Trek TNG season 1 episode "Worf v. Worf," where Worf's on trial for something or other.

Are those trading cards in the previous post? If so, perfect.

It's always great to see new places and meet new people.

That's actually a pretty funny idea, right now they're just nonsense I'm throwing into the manual. For Steam Trading Cards I'm hoping to use some nice large graphics that were drawn a couple of years ago for our original PAX presentation.

I want to thank James and TMC for raising enemy sprite sizes so I can now do something insane and import this as one gigantic enemy:

Hah, I guess you can only see the top of that giant enemy in the appear and death animations? Sink into/rise from ground, I guess. That should be a pretty cool effect.

In that screenshot of the building with the red roof, what's that thing at the right side of the screen? Looks like maybe a razer-wire fence?
