I truly enjoy the meta chat.
And yes James, I will go into behind the scenes things either after the campaign or after a certain point.

Cool :)

Hey, how many horses do we have right now. I seem to remember that one or more of our wagon-horses was killed in the battle. I am assuming that we replaced it/them with Inquisitor's horses, but I am wondering if we picked up any extra horses, and if so, how many?

Ah, good point. well I had some of the horses run away. Let's say the party has the original number of horses. Just different ones.

Correct me if I'm wrong:

We learned that the four key players in Averognian politics, Nathaire, Azedarac, Gaspard and Moriamis are all necromancers? Is this a murder mystery? The Case of the 400 Foot Butler? Also intriguing is that these 4 necromancers all seem to hold a piece of the puzzle (except Azedarc. And he's against magic, against lifting the curse?). Why would the others be FOR lifting the curse? How do we know one of them isn't going to send a 400 foot monster, or monsterS out into the real world given half a chance? Were they all pupils of the same master, the REAL bad guy? Could that bad guy be Sephora?

Another thing I'm still wondering about is the nature of this silver stuff. Silver seems to be a recurring theme! We have silver dragons. We've got silver skeletons. We've got a jar of silver that was just sitting on a shelf in the library. Is it sucker's bait? Wasn't there silver on one of the keyholes of the portal? And wasn't it a silver torch that transformed the bull? What's the connection? What's the deal?

And I still don't know WTF went on the werewolves. I still don't know WTF the deal is with Kalar's spells. I'm honestly like 60% sure we got suckered into metagaming and that had we ridden to see Azedarac the "Evil Necromancer" we would've been pardoned for doing good work and given help. But nooo, we're playing a game so god forbid anyone try to follow the law and do what's sensible.

I mean, the hat guy only told us what he believed: That we would be tried for crimes, and that he believed we were so guilty we'd be hanged for them. He can't say what Azedarac would do. Maybe he's like Obama, a decent guy hamstrung by an evil congress. Maybe we could've been his Czars!

Next campaign we play though, I'm gonna be evil. You can get so much slime done when you don't have to worry about a conscience.

Haha!

"THANKS, Azedarc!"

Azedarc's trying to take our magic, in direct defiance of the 2nd amendment!

I heard he wasn't even born in Averiogne!

@BMR: you can PM if you want to keep it to yourself, but what are your intentions with hrulgin and those two guys. I mean, do what you want, kill them in secret, torture them, it's all cool, I just need to know because it's kinda holding up the campaign.

Another local knowledge check for Rob. If possible, I would like to say that at least once in his life, Rob has approached the borders of Averoigne. What did he see there, preventing him from travelling outside the country?

If it is a problem for him to know this, then I will just have to come up with an excuse why he has not travelled to the border yet.

It is not a problem and requires no check. It common knowledge that I tried to touch on when first introducing the campaign and I'll reintroduce it now.

The mist surrounds all of Averoigne. As if it were a range of mountains, large clouds of grey mist can be seen on the horizon in Averoigne. When the border is approached, it can be seen that the mist forms a wall rising high into the air. It's generally understood that the mist means certain death is entered. No one has tested that theory and returned to tell the tale.

yes/no
it's simply described as grey in the campaign however I don't want to specifically exclude it's resemblance to the silvery aspects of the campaign.

Oh, he's just going to trail them to see where they go. Kalar will get in touch with him the next day to see what happens.

EDIT: But if a situation arises where death or torture are needed, then so be it.

Ah! The same mist we saw by the entrance to Castle Clover. That makes sense.

It also makes me wonder if the castle is somewhere on the border, or if it is in a separate similar plane.

You seem to have misunderstood my post. The clouds of mist are very far away still. They're just really really big and can be seen now.
