Yea, I was sort of waiting on the map to see if, how, and when you guys made a move. Didn't want to draw up a road and then have you guys simply allow the inquisitors to take you to ximes or something.

The undead group quickly caught up after the group halted just now. The reason they are being out distanced is because even 5 extra feet a round equals a TON of extra movement over the period of a couple minutes. Also, you move slower while hiding, half speed. But I simply gave Hrulgin and the skeletons a penalty and had them move faster. Lastly, they are moving in a forest rather than on a path. As you can see in the map, the forest isn't TOO think but it still slows down movement.
All in all, if travel had gone on for much longer, the undead would have completely lost sight of the inquisitors.

Could we get an updated map of where everyone is? I want to be careful about spell placement, seeing as how everyone is all clumped together.

In case you need a next action, Kalar will summon up a zombie ogre the next round.

Barring any changes in the way the battle is going (and provided he's not getting attacked), he'll summon up a bugbear zombie next.

Hrulgin will keep sniping at people with drow-poisoned darts.

Going to make this item for Voulton next. It should come in pretty handy for battles like these.

Mask of Power

This mask is made of hardwood, but has been carved into a grotesque and gruesome face. When the wearer of the mask first encounters someone who is hostile, that person must make a DC 16 Will save or become Shaken for 10 rounds. As a standard action, the wearer of the mask can look at any individual hostile to him and activate the mask's power.

Spell Used: Doom
Spell Level: 1
Caster Level: Lowered to 1

Use-activated or continuous: 1 (spell level) × 1 (caster level) × 2,000 gp = 2,000 gp
Require Class (Fighter): 2,000 gp - 30% = 1,400 gp

Final Cost: 1,400 gp & 56 xp

@Giz:
You can't take a 5ft step during a cleave. Unless you have some new ability I'm not aware of. Thankfully, they were moving in to attack so it didnt mattter.

Oh, I must've misread!. I didn't mean *DURING* the cleave. I was looking at

Full Attack Action
The only movement you can take during a full attack is a 5-foot step. You may take the step before, after, or between your attacks.
and was parsing that to mean that I could use my First BAB attack to start a potential chain of cleaves. At the termination of that, I could take a 5 foot step as part of my full attack action and ending the chain of cleaves, and then use my Second BAB attack to start a second potential chain of cleaves. I didn't realize that cleaving at all precluded that one five step movement, I thought that was just to prevent a creeping doom situation where a guy would cleave and five foot step his way through an entire warehouse of goblins. Sorry!

I'm pretty sure there's a feat for that, worded just loosely enough that you can take out a goblin army in a single round.

Uh oh, by any chance is Voulton contemplating grinding said bones to make his bread?

Hahah! I think he'd need Galse's help for that.

Anyone think we should try to take prisoners? Kill all the witnesses? I get the feeling we're going to pay out the butt for this later, but we can't really risk riding the wagon with total liars and then get stripped of our weapons and hung. Or put in prison till Necromancers take over the whole place (which is worse than being hung)! But I still feel like we're gonna regret it.

How many inquisitors are left? And how far off are they?

They're scattered. Some are only about 50ft others are more than 300ft now and are in different directions. The geassed one isn't mounted and likely the easiest to catch. There's 7 left, not including the two amulet holders.

Hmm, righto. Plus the two or three inquisitors who've gone all sleepy-time from Hrulgin's darts.

Well, we have three prisoners at least, plus a whole bunch of corpses to interrogate.

Do we let them go? Or chase after them?

Hey, Spoonweaver! After enough time has passed that it could no longer matter to our own decisions, I would love to see the DVD deleted scenes of what happens to the Inquisitor that Rob hit with Lesser Geass after he escapes. Does he spend the next 10 days harassing the others to drop their weapons?

I was thinking: Why are we even opposed to the inquisition anyway? Would any of us (Rob excluded) be here if it weren't for the troublesome experiments of wizards? Ask yourselves: what has magic ever done for you? Sure, it can heal disease and injury, but would any of us have those injuries if not for mages and their fanciful monster attracting dungeons!? Would we become infected with disease were it not for the wizards who invent them?

If it's not too late, I think we should try to join forces with them. We've learned that they do allow mages and wizards to join, we'll all get amulets to protect us, we can lift the curse and then snuff out magic from our homelands... and once we're done, WE'LL be the only ones with magic left! And we won't do anything wrong with it, honest injun!

Haha! :)

I think Rob's objection to the Inquisition is because he wants to do magic, and they don't want him to.

But another objection that is only beginning to dawn on Rob is that they don't want to stop magic use, they want to maintain their own monopoly over magic use. They are like a totalitarian regime that wants to stockpile all the weapons, and make sure their citizens stay unarmed.

My meta-objection as player is that although none of us have seen any evidence of it in-game yet, I'll bet you 1000 slime bucks that one if us is going to get tied into a Pit-And-The-Pendulum device sooner or later!
