The Official Hamster Republic All Star Battles
As I was sitting around, working on the Pumpkin Warriors, I came up with the idea to make an OHR themed Smash Bros. like game.
If some of you guys want this project come to life, you can
post character sugestions.
I would suggest:
-Bob the Hamster
-Tim-Tim
-My very own Pumpkin Warriors-Sunny
-Red Triangle
-The Walrus
-A Slime
-Someone from the Vikings of Midgard
I would also need the permissions of the character's owners.

Not even major game companies have managed to make good Smash clones and the OHR would be a terrible platform for something where online play and zoomed out screens and incredibly precise framerates matter so much.
Also it would be harder to script than literally anything ever released here by a gigantic margin, it's not a project anyone will casually volunteer for and actually produce something.

Could learn to use python and pygame to do it. You can even tack on blender if you're feelin' zesty for 3D.
I vote for some of the characters from AR-PUH-GUH! for the game too.

The idea of a fighting game has come up several times, but nobody has ever gotten past the planning stages.
Choosing the right engine for the job is definitely important, but the other big hurdle is that a fighting game requires a lot of animation frames. The art burden is really enormous, so you won't get far without one or more artists really dedicated to the project.

I'm aware of the fact, that I'm going to need some artists.
The good thing is, that I'm an artist myself, and discovered , that I can imitate many styles of art/cartoons and also have some to call my own, but I would defenitly need help for the Chracter(s) from games, like Vikings of Midgard, wich are more "anime-like".

Wherever this project winds up, it's always good practice to not use other people's characters without their permission.

I nominate Bob Surlaw, Salom Lancoven, Super Walrus Man, Blueberry, Rice, and Ketchup. The Wobbler wrote:No one should nominate their own characters/games for anything.
I second El Garbanzo, Senor Death, and Senor Rialgo.Taco Bot wrote:If it's okay with frfingerfnshhhp, I vote for the characters in Okedoke.

I couldn't think of a better pic, so it's only half-relevant.

In fact, we should just have a second game for Surlaw's characters.
