WE ARE READY TO BEGIN MAKING THE PIXEL ART BOOK!
After a bit of discussion I have come to the conclusion that there will be no theme/genre for the pixel art book. The reason for this is to allow each artist to stay true to their own work and ideas. If there are any objections to this decision please step forward.
Here's what I need each contributor to do:
1) Create at least 5 pieces of pixel art that represent your art style (You may create more/or less than this amount of art, but I do hope that everyone contributes at least 5 pieces on average).
The creation of your art must follow these rules:
-The art must be a maximum 612 x 612 pixels in size. This does not mean that you have to create pixel art of this magnitude. I'm sure most of you are more familiar with smaller dimensions like 20 x 20, 34 x 34, 50 x 50, etc. Since these dimensions are smaller than 612 x 612 then they are acceptable. Also, don't feel like you are restricted to a square dimension either. Rectangular images will be accepted so long as they are under 612 x 612 pixels.
-Your art can use any amount of colours
***If you think of anything I haven't mentioned please let me know.
2) Once your art is created, save your art as any of the following formats: .bmp, .png, .jpeg, or .tif. Then send the art to me at: sheamkennedy@gmail.com
3) At this point in time I will reply to you with a small form to fill out. This form will ask for things like your name, alias, short biography, etc... This information will then be sent back to me, and will appear on your page in the Pixel Art Book. I will also likely write up a small contract that will say you've given me permission to publish your art in my book, that you retain rights to the art, and that sales from the book will go towards the OHRRPGCE development, and stuff like that...
4) Once this is all complete, I will scale up the pixel art and format the book. I'll make a draft of the book and show it to everyone for a reviewing period. After this reviewing period I will make any further changes and then upload it as an ebook, and as a print.
-This reviewing period will also give us a chance to decide on the books title, as well as a vote on which artists work will be put on the title page.
I think that's it. NOW EVERYONE MAY BEGIN!

I'm not sure if everyone in this thread read my last post. I want everyone to know they may begin. Please confirm that you have read the instructions by posting a reply here. If I don't receive a reply from you then expect a pm in the near future.

If I had to but a time limit on it I'd say a month starting now. Although I know some people will be done much sooner, and probably others later than that. So it's just a target to shoot for more or less.Meowskivich wrote:When do you want this art by?

@Spoonweaver: Sounds perfect.
@Willy: That's great! I'm excited to see.
Also feel free to share some screenshots of your artwork or work in progress. I'm sure this would inspire others. As for me, I'll start mine after wednesday sometime since I have a final coming up for one of my classes.

Here's an example of some artwork submitted to the book if anyone wanted to see.
