I recently uploaded <a href="http://www.slimesalad.com/forum/viewgame.php?t=508">Bob the Hamster Sidescroller DEMO</a>. Indeed, part of my motive for the timing of the upload was my shameless desire for 10 more strength points, but that was not the only reason I uploaded it.
I really am interested in feedback on this game. At this stage there obviously isn't a whole lot to see, but I am especially looking for feedback in two categories:
=Movement Physics=
* How do the digging mechanics feel to you?
* The Jumping mechanics suck, don't they? Be honest with me! They Suck!
** Do you have any suggestions on how to make the jumping suck less
** Known problems with jumping
*** Jumping height is not always the same
*** Jumping Sucks
=Installation Troubles=
* Does the windows installer work okay?
* Do you get any runtime errors? Crashes?
* Can you get into the editor? (Press ~ to try)
* If you have a joystick/gamepad, does it work?

Interesting. That is what I would expect to see happen if your video card did not support OpenGL acceleration. Do 3D accelerated games work on your computer? Hmmm. Looks like you are getting single-digit frames-per-second on a lot of those tests. Unfortunately I don't know exactly which tests are most important for the Bob Sidescroller, other than the fact that OpenGL "Display Lists" are the only accelerated feature that the program really uses... Unfortunately there are like64 different display list tests in those benchmarks-- but enough of your tests came out slow that I am inclined to believe that we have found the problem.
I know I can't ask you to try to upgrade a graphics driver on a work computer, but if you get a chance to just check which video card it uses, I would be curious to know.
