This sounds like an amazing piece of software. Measure how long you spend doing various things on your computer. Trying to work on your game? Now you can quantify the amount of time you waste doing other things. It also has obvious benefits for a software contractor.

Well, you could always muck about with Wine, but that's hardly an ideal solution in my experienceBob the Hamster wrote:That looks cool! if there was a Linux version I would already be downloading it
And aye, it does look most interesting. I might give it a shot. Fingers crossed Wine can get it going flawlessly.

RescueTime
Reg'd here just so I could reply to this thread...
You may want to check out http://rescuetime.com. There's an unsupported open source Linux uploader you can use with it.

Hi!
The automatic task tracking and datamining of window titlebars for document names in procrastitracker is really neat.
But I'm also using Linux. Recently I tried to use the Project Hamster time tracker, but it turns out that getting it set up on KDE is a nightmare since it's a Gnome widget.
So now I've started using Emacs org-mode's clock-in feature. It can't do automatic tracking and doesn't really have many features at all, but it's OK if you don't care about accurate accounting.
Apparently there are two Linux clients for rescuetime, an open source one and a supported fully featured one. But I'm uneasy about uploading recordings of everything I do to a website.
