The assumption is that you're using the engine default otherwise (320x200). Creating a custom executable just to expand your view area is probably going to get your game voted down, but you're welcome to try it.

Custom builds are a big pain, I'm through with them.

As for voting, I'm planning on assigning scores without giving points for restrictions observed, since the score multipliers will very heavily favour people who do.

I've only just started playing Jumpman. Pretty nice! Good use of a single button. I've only barely made it to stage 6 so far but I'll try to get further. Stage 5+ is murder. A glance at the scripts shows stage 11 is the last stage, but it's impossible.

I was originally not going to be in this contest, but I got really bored this morning.
The file runs on Alectormancy+2 and newer versions of the OHRRPGCE.

EDIT: I went back and centered things better, and made the text fit all within the view space.

Double Pumping

Thanks to Bob who helped me with the last (and hardest) part of the script.
I want to know if this game is classified as rank II or Rank III on controls since there is two bottoms, being one bottom for each player.

That is a tough call indeed, but I'll allow that one button per player is still rank 3.

I only realised today that it was the last day of the month, and made a start on an entry. Unfortunately I'm not feeling too motivated so all I have to present is a screenshot:

I was aiming for control rank 2 (3 button control scheme), area rank 1, resolution rank 3 (that's 80x80 if you can't tell), colour depth rank 1, graphics rank 3. I feel like those limits wouldn't impede me much in making quite a long and deep game if I wished to invest in it.

Wow, nice game!

I think a big part of what defines a fun arcade game is that there are lots of "I can't believe I just did that" moments, and this game has lots of that once the difficulty starts increasing. Quite addictive. Also, really nice music. And little touches like fading music in and out are nice to see as well.

My top score so far is 247 on All-Out Mode.

With these scores and stuff, we should have a scoreboard to see high scores for any of the OHR type of game.

It'll sorta fit in with a certain game of mine too, but it'll be nice for this contest where as all but two games (I think) have scores.

Sorta like them old nintendo power magazines, where they had you submit photos of your scores to be posted into their magazines.

In fact, Cube, if you're reading this, you should make such a thing part of the Hamster Burrow.
