There seems to be a rather sudden influx of spam-bots. Should I be worried?

It is best not to reply to obvious spam threads. They will be deleted as soon as a mod notices them.

The trouble with the current text captcha is that no matter how hard it might be for a spambot to crack it, as soon as just one human spammer cracks it, there is now a database entry somewhere in a spamming tool that says

Code: Select all

slimesalad.com/forum/ | tc_answer | lettuce

It isn't enough for a captcha to be hard for a computer to solve, it is also important for that captcha to be different every time

(Another reason why the captcha on the OHR wiki is worthless)

I deleted the spam threads that I saw, if I missed any posts within threads PM me a link. Don't reply to spambot posts in real threads or you'll look nutty once that post is deleted. Respond to them in pure spam threads if you really want to but those threads will be deleted in their entirety and your Internet Gold will be lost forever.
