Looking for someone who can draw in the style of realism, to do character portraits. Basically what I'm looking for is the same thing the snes/psx version of Tactics Ogre did, as seen here: https://ogrebattlesaga.fandom.com/wiki/ ... er/Gallery
I've never commissioned art before, much less for a game; it's my understanding that for a job where an artist would be making between 100-200 portraits, they're usually paid extra, since it's asking so much of their time and energy. Is this correct?

Katja's Abyss: Tactics - Artifact Art
Hi all.
In Katja's Abyss: Tactics, you can find artifacts when killing enemies or mining walls. These then show up in a menu with a picture and a text description that provide some insight into the lore and history of the game world.
I'd love to add more artifacts into the game, and because it's optional/secondary content crowdsourcing sprites would work well. I'm not super picky about art style, as long as it's not completely incongruent with the rest of the game. If you're interested, the details of the artifact art is below.
PM me if you're interested! I can pay $15 per sprite, but I'm willing to negotiate that price.
Sprite Details
Sprites are 196x100 pixels in size, and must include <16 colors. The actual sprite can take up any portion of the available size. See examples in the attached gif.
Design can be from:
1. An existing artifact that's missing art. In this case, ask me for a list of options. Several artifacts don't have pictures at all.
2. Designing your own artifact. These artifacts are remnants of an ancient cave-dwelling people. They had some fairly advanced technology and often worshipped a war god. If you want more details, I can provide them. Existing artifacts include a cooking pot, an anvil, a mosaic, a piece of armor, etc.
• (optional) Artifact Name: max 12 characters
• (optional) Artifact Description: Told from the perspective of a researcher/archeologist analyzing the artifact and its significance.
If you write a name and description, know that it may be subject to editing before being placed in the final game.

Need a hand with character sprites!
Blood Ledger:
https://www.slimesalad.com/forum/viewto ... 3&start=15
This is for HOTOHR! I can draw sprites well enough but I admit I need some help here in order to make the deadline in good shape. If drawing Prince of Persia-esque characters sounds fun, you might be the candidate. Payment is not off the table.
What We Need:
Three principal characters. A spirited young black girl, an older librarian/inventor, and a sort of mystical native who's some kind of council member. More details during collaboration.
Frame requirements:
Current sprites are from 28-30 pixels high for tall adult characters.
A south-facing still frame for each character. More frames encouraged, but I can work with just that if I have to.
Wishlist:
Four directions for each sprite, at least three frame walk. Two or three townsfolk.
The style of the game is what I've been calling "NES.5". Crazy amounts of detail are not necessary. The characters just have to *have* character.
If you're interested or have questions for me, PM me or find me on the SS Discord!

I asked Soda Piggy and he said he'd be interested. Feel free to email him, you should have it from various Axe Cop emails.

16 bit Pixel artists
Looking for talented 16 bit artists.
Here is a link to a video of a beat' em up prototype I've been putting together.
https://vimeo.com/506364427
The video has a lot of lag going on but it's just for a rough demonstration. The bones are there to make an OHR beat' em up.
HELP WANTED:
*16 bit pixel artist
Looking for style like this...

Couldn't of done it without you and TMC helping me every time I had a question. Also, it was really really cool of you to comment out Bell of Chaos and Don't Eat Soap along with several others. Those plotscripts were so amazing to have as reference when first getting started with OHR. Thanks again guys

It's very impressive Inqualls901.
You should join the discord server to talk to people directly about teaming up. I know several people have expressed interest in making a Beat 'em Up styled game, so you might find someone you can work with to get graphics, art, and maybe some game ideas if you're looking. I know the people that did the Kaiju game and the Axe Cop game would have loved to make those a Beat 'em Up. Maybe they're still interested in making one?
Anyways, here's the discord info. People normally gather weekday afternoons EST.

Thank you Spoonweaver for the great suggestion. I'm haven't been too sure where to look around the web for help. I have to say, I really love Soda Piggy's 16 bit aesthetics for Kaiju Big Battel and those color palettes are wonderful. That would be great to collab with some other beat' em up and OHR enthusiasts.
I am looking for a composer for Knight Slights. Basically a 1 minute title song that loops, 3 minute song for gameplay that loops, and 1 minute song for credits that also loops. These songs would be used for two versions of the same game. I have about $100 I can realistically spend on this. Doesn't need to sound like the songs in the game, going for more of a Final Fantasy 9 Tetra Master vibe mixed with the Game Boy Color Pokemon Trading Card Game OST.

Re: Work for Hire
Hey friends. I'd like to contribute music to your game project. Today I quietly released my first collection of fakebit tracks, using fm/pcm samples from the sega genesis. Each song is made to loop nicely and sound great at the highest compression of .ogg format. While some of these tunes are spoken for, for a price I'd be willing to license the rest with custom arrangements or transposition to tracker formats.
More than that, I'd like to make new music specifically for the project you've been dreaming hard about.
I know there are other talented composers in our community, and I certainly don't want to intrude. But I believe that if a game is going to stand out, it needs to hit from its own angle, with its own composer. My angle: I like to make evocative tunes with long phrases sung by synths, enticing players to chime along with words of their special adventure.
Here's my "Megadrove" collection on bandcamp.

Here's a youtube playlist containing (also) my NES chip music.
