I am giving away a bunch of my sculptures!

Post by Bob the Hamster »

I already posted this on my facebook, but for the benefit of my OHR friends who aren't on there, I thought I should re-post here.

I am giving away a bunch of my older sculptures to friends, all I am asking for is the price of shipping (or totally free, if you happen to be in driving distance from Los Angeles)

Here is a gallery of all of them:

And here is an example picture showing a few of them:

Please look through the <a href="> and if you see one you like, just let me know (the ones that are already taken are marked in the comments)

You can also ask for a more detailed picture of one, if you aren't sure.

I really like the succubus and the dryad in the tree. How feasible do you think it would be to send to NZ? I'm guessing they're pretty fragile and unwieldy as far as packaging is concerned.

You have quite a talent James! Especially as far as the female form is concerned

Thank you!

My cousin already claimed the Dryad, but I will get an estimate of how much it would cost to ship the Succubus to New Zealand, and I will let you know.

Thanks James. It reminds me of Black Sabbath artwork, and I loves me some Black Sabbath.

Did you take classes? Or is this something you feverishly work at in an unlit shed at the back of your yard when no one is home??

Haha! yes, I took classes for 6 or 7 years, but yes, if I had an unlit shed in the back yard, I would totally use it for feverish working :)

What is your postal code (you can send it in a PM if you don't want to post it here. I will need it in order to get an accurate shipping estimate (which I probably won't be able to do until tomorrow evening))

Woah, some groovy stuff there. Too bad I'm poor though :/
That tends to happen when you can't find work for almost a full year >_>

Brings to mind some memories of some small sculptures I've made in years past, especially my umbrella-hatted, pig-nosed, butterfly-winged, dragon-spined, four-tentacled, unibrowed evil monkey head with a mustache. Now that I think about it, that sounds like it could be a potential Earthworm Jim foe....

How much is shipping to some place like the south east coast? There's one I can't keep my eyes off of, what could be the most sacred of relics.

Ah, crikey, and some of those look really good too, the horse-man with an axe in particular. Like Meowskivich though, I'll have to say that it's too bad I'm poor, hehe. Great work though!

@guo: thanks! I'll let you know soon.

@charbile: For any place in the continental united states that is outside of california, the shipping price will probably be somewhere in the range of $10 to $90 depending very much on the weight of the piece. Let me know your zip code and the specific piece if you want a more accurate estimate.

@BMR: Thanks! I wish there was some way I could magically send these things across the world for free :)

@msw188: Haha! Sort of, yes. it is a tiger-man in a hockey uniform, I am not sure which team. My sister made that one, and I forgot to move it out of frame before I took the picture (although would probably be willing to part with it if somebody really loved it, although I don't know that she would give it away for just shipping cost)

Out of curiosity James, have you ever read about the tikbalang? It's a creature from Philippine mythology, was the first thing I thought of when I saw the horse man. Then again, horse-men aren't exactly rare, so there's that, hehe.

Wow, that is cool! I love mythological creatures. No, I had not heard of the tikbalang before. I don't remember exactly what inspired the horse-man, I made it about 6 or 7 years ago. I guess I was probably making a minotaur, and changed my mind half-way through :)

I can send you them both together. They are fairly light, so I don't think they will be expensive. Probably less than $20.
