Hey all, wanted to introduce myself. My names Virin and I
m new to these forums. I just checked out OHRRPGCE. Pretty impressed with the engine. So since I'm new you'll probably see alot of nooby threads out of me!
About me:
*2 Year commercial pixel art veteran.
*My English teacher lives in a boat.
*I like tacos.
So you guys get to deal with me for a while. can't wait to meet you guys.
Welcome to the thread. These fine gentlemen above me seem to have done a great job at showing the... craziness you will probably deal with on a regular basis here. Hope to see games forming real soon! (though, if you're anything like me, it'll be a few years. i like procrastination. alot.)

you wanna see craziness, just look at the SUICIDE GAME thread. yeah. and if you're anything like the rest of us, we won't see anything by your for a couple of years. my game is about 2 years old. with about 5 months of actual work. so, welcome!!
Hey, I just met you, and this is crazy... So here's some lunchmeat... Sandwich, maybe?

For a great game, sure it'll be a year or two (or three). But you can get a really decent game up and running in as little as 6 months. It may not be perfect or 100% complete, but if you don't want to wait a few years, you can still make something good.
For proof, check out some of the great 48 hour contest games (like Scars of Glory) or any of the shorter term contest games that turned out cool.
