Fail?!

I think the grass is very green for a run-down dystopia. I've been experimenting with brownish-yellow grass, which I think works well enough to try.Voltire wrote:any specific suggestions would be nice.
I see the setting as a city, too, but this can be the outskirts. As we go on, I think the way we visualize this'll be closer and closer to each other.
I think we should go with Dromo as your character. It'd be hard to get Ulia into a party with humans in it.
Spoon, in a setting where mages are kidnapped on sight, and risk betrayal by their friends for a few scraps of bread, your character is a mage who uses his powers in the most flamboyantly obvious way possible. Just wanted to point that out.
The first thing we do will be to rescue a bunch a slaves. Your character will likely be the rescuee, instead of the rescuer.
Making your own spells is totally fine. I'm about to make a thread for stats and stuff.
It's occurring to me that it makes more sense to use the OHR-style battle system then the DnD one, because if we use DnD A.) Two of the four people in the group don't know it, and B.) We'll have to convert everything!
(Using the OHR system also makes it easier to keep making the actual game whilst playing).
Thoughts?

I'm statting out characters now. I want to start the campaign FRIDAY NIGHT, so make sure you're ready, and let me know what you want your character to be like.
My character will join once the campaign is up and running smoothly, and is a "Paladin" type (since the party lacks a healer right now, and it makes sense for healers to join a little later anyway. It also fits into my concept neatly anyway).
I can't come up with a good name for my character yet, but he's an old-school idealist who's impressed at the good deeds you'll hopefully do. Even though he joins late and isn't the focus, he sees himself as the "hero", and wields a sword out of tradition. His personal character arc will be about trying to reconcile the ideals of the past with the problems of the present. His ultimate weapon won't be a sword, because he's actually not suited to them.
