Pixen doesn't work for me, and i've heard from those it works for that its very buggy.
I used Graphics Gale a lot on windows, but i no longer have access to a windows machine. Photoshop and GIMP are just not that friendly for pixel work. Are there any other cross-platform/Mac image editors geared for pixel work?

Doing some research. So far I've found:

And a program called Acorn whose biggest feature is its price tag.
Grafx2 apparently works on Mac OS X, so that's probably the best program.
