Ok, so let's prepare for chapter 2. The opening of the 2nd chapter is going to take place 2nd weeks after the end of the 1st. Is there anything that anyone wants to do in that time besides buying/selling items?
Lao still has an active quest if I remember correctly.
Vire and Ehaism are still out for Templar blood.

Here's what I'm looking at for items:
- ring of protection +X
- bag of tricks (tan)
- cloak of resistance +X
- handy haversack
- scarab of protection

I added those to the spreadsheet so you can see the prices easily. I put both the +2 and +3 versions of the ring of protection and cloak of resistance, because those cross pretty biggish price-jumps.

off-hand, does anybody know a good site with a list of items and prices? i don't know anything about buying items, btw. i also don't know how much money Lao scooped up in the cave, and i'm not about to just pick any old random number.
Hey, I just met you, and this is crazy... So here's some lunchmeat... Sandwich, maybe?

d20srd.org has a nice list of items at: http://www.d20srd.org/indexes/magicItems.htm

Prices are clearly marked, but it can be a little tricky figuring out whether an item is minor, medium, or major (that matters a lot because of the 2x price multiplier for medium items and 4x for major items.)

Awesome, thanks.

(edit) wow, I didn't realize the scarab would be so expensive :(

I'm guessing momoka is basically out at this point. So as far as Ribbon's purchases go. Ribbon takes the +3 halberd, the +2 bracers, and then buys a pair of winged boots and flies away. The group never hears from him again.

Hey James, your spreadsheet lists the priceless items as having a gold value of zero. I don't know what value we should assign to them, but zero isn't it.

I figured that the Scroll of Becoming Gelatinous should be 0 because it was Lao's quest item, and wouldn't have any meaning to the rest of us. (Also, what does it mean to become gelatinous?)

With some doubt and trepidation I marked the Wand Of Identified Every Darn Thing as 0 because we all get the benefit of the identifications that it shouts out regardless of who happens to be waving it around at the time.

But if we get split up at any time in the next quest, it could confer a big advantage on whoever is carrying it, so yeah, maybe it needs a value.

I think it also casts spells besides identifying every darn thing.

Give it an intelligence and ego score as well as the ability to fly. Boom! All set.

Oh, god, I did not need to see that.

Twin, do you think you could turn that Wand of Identify backwards and hit me in the head with it? Maybe I'll forget what I saw

So, Any further suggestions on how we should value the Wand and the scroll of Becoming Gelatinous?

Has anybody thought of anything else that they want their character to buy?

Not that we have to decide everything now. The teleport boots should allow mid-campaign shopping.
