I have been Dwarf-fortress-clean for almost a year now.
Last night, I dreamed that I was a dwarf mason, and I was working on a vertical stair tunnel along the edge of a chasm with a subterranean lake at the bottom. I had a son who had not yet specified a job class. After work, before returning to my room, I spent some time with him by the shore, trying to see what job he might be best at. He like the water, so fisherman seemed an obvious choice. I also talked to him about the stone walls of the chasm. He showed interest, but I didn't want to push him into masonry just because that was my own profession. I also showed him some vegetation that was (strangely) growing indoors, and suggested a dwarf he might want to talk to for mentoring should he consider going into herbalism.
I am telling you all this in the hopes that by venting some dwarf-steam, I might be able to avoid starting playing again.
I really don't have the time for that.

Don't do it!
ASCII is bad for your eyes!
Midgets are bad for your height!
Do anything!
Write a comic book!

Learn to use Blender!

ANYTHING!
For some reason, whenever I draw dwarves for D&D, they're clean shaven ... and pirates. Dwarves make awesome pirates.
