Be a Man

Post by The Wobbler »

This year, the Game of the Year is on the Wii; Muscle March.

This thread was originally a spam thread by internet millionaire SAMMYPETTERS. I'm taking it over in the name of buff machomen everywhere.

There are pictures and video further down in the thread. In this game, you strike manly flexes using the remote and nunchuck in order to fit through holes left by escaping thieves who stole your PROTEIN POWDER. It's $5 and it came out in North America this week. It rules. Post your manliest macho-isms here.

I noticed Muscle March in the Wii shop channel yesterday. Is it really that great?

I had seen that video once before, but everything looks so colorful and chaotic, I have no idea how it is played. What is the user-interface like? What are you doing with the Wiimote while all that crazy stuff is happening on the screen?

Hold on! I just noticed that the original poster is a spam robot! Check out that spam link in his signature. That explains why his list of favorite games is so "meh"

I highly suggest that a mod delete his original post (and if that means deleting this whole thread, we can always start a new Muscle March thread)

I noticed that as well, but the link in his signature doesn't actually go anywhere. His posts are varying degrees of intelligible; if he continues to spam, I'll just delete his posts and ban him.

Are you listening, sammy?

Run the page in his signature through a translator. It implores the reader to bookmark the page and check back later to buy the item. This is a tactic I have seen used before for penile enlargement spam. It is intended to defeat spam filters that fetch linked pages and scan them for spam links at the time of posting.

Also, notice the typo in the original post? A google search for "Ckeck them all out" reveals that this spam robot has posted the exact same post on thousands of other forums.

Nice catch. I didn't bother reading the page.

Ker-banned! Feel free to talk about MUSCLE MARCH here.

Also, this should be in Gen Disc anyway.

I'd love to partner up and make the graphics for a MUSCLE MARCH OHR game. Perhaps someone will take up that challenge come March/April for the RIDICULOUS GAMES CONTEST?

Dead serious here.
To friends long gone, and those I've yet to meet - thank you.

But how would one control your musle man in this OHR version? Not like we have any sort of WII-mote interaction to work with.
With that said, we could use button combination instead. So this isn't really that big a deal I guess.

The next challenge would be the timing before the hole in the wall. Since we're working in 2d, we only have from the edge of the scrren to what I'm assuming would be the middle of the screen, ( though the other edge of the screen could work. ) Unless, some sort of crazy 3D rendering script is used.
Though, adjusting the speed of the running muscle dudes would basically have the same effect I suppose.

Other then those 2 things, I'd love to play this, and work on it if need be.

Seems fitting that such a bizarre game would be discussed in such a bizarre thread. I love bizarre things.

Back to the main attraction!

Best character design ever.

Goodbye SAMMYPETTER. Rest in peace. Thanks for the thread bro.

You strike poses, flexing either both arms above your head, both below, or one above and one below. You have to do this extremely fast on the harder stages. It's like a Wario Ware mini game, only longer and funnier.

It's MECH MUSCLE. He's the final boss of each stage.

Same gimmick, but this guy (Abebe) came first.

Either Abebe or Pedroso is my favorite muscleman, but they're all good. The King of Muscle who judges you at the end of your workout is God. This is good. Also, the soundtrack rules, if you like the music from the Katamari games you'll love these songs.
