I was a very prolific writer/artist this last year. THREE articles in this issue is fantastic. That was also one of my favorite monsterologies. I'm kind of surprised the Vikings Cast article made it in as well - I'm guessing it's because of Frumpy's bald, liver spotted cranium?

Also, and this may be just my opinion, but the sidescrollers article is, and has always been a fundamentally useful article for plotscripting purposes. I'd still like to see it continued, perhaps detailing projectiles and more complicated enemy AI scripting.

The upcoming previews of articles is a much needed change from last year's "best of" issue, and has me stoked for October (September?). I eagerly anticipate getting to know the rest of the OHR community, and will probably skew the entire article with my submission. <s>Nazis riding on dinosaurs fighting hippies and mobile suits lolwut /<s>

Is the cover made from real construction paper? Even if it isn't it is still awesome!

I noticed that the Bob Sporelaw youtube link seems to be broken.

It's been said, but I'll say again that the cover is fantastic.

Nonsense. I already know how your submission will fit. No need to worry.

I noticed that there were pieces of the preview article cut...hmm.... I thought the Okedoke portion was too choppy without those early Chapter 2 paragraphs. Oh well, next month they will resurface.

If anyone who received a question for the Mixer in their PMs still hasn't answered, you have a couple more weeks. I believe I'm waiting on four of you (assuming you don't wish to decline).

Apparently Momoka's statement said so much that no one else needed to contribute. Great success!
Lawl. I'm thinking about writing an article about exposition and shorthand, as well as taking advantage of genre conventions. It looks like you already have an article on conveying information. Would there be overlap? I'm mostly talking about plot and story.

The lack of the JSH Story in this feature is an affront to all that is right.

My article on giving information is based totally on gameplay, and information about the plot/story is not discussed at all. So my version of 'information' is something like "the magical sword is actually in the graveyard, and you need 12 hearts to be allowed to take it", not "Impa was once Zelda's chambermaid, which isn't an important enough post to warrant any pixels in the game".

Furthermore, my article focuses on how much/how clear, not on how to give the info. Honestly, even if there was the chance of some overlap, I'd say write it anyways. But it sounds like we're considering two rather different things.

SP*CKT! I'm going to hate myself for saying this, but I think that necromancer chick is danged attractive.

I don't think Eric looks like Ronald much at all. I also think that Kitt looks like a girl and Night looks like a guy.
