The artwork and coding are both equally beautiful.
That trail of pollen from the flyer, wow! Also the way that the sprite is different when submerged in the water... also incredible.

Not sure a whole thread for this game is neccessary, but I am happy to share that Ravancloak and mine's game came out today.
https://www.slimesalad.com/forum/viewgame.php?p=139708
I've been in Discord for a couple years now with the group and Ravan would show off the neatest music and artwork. I knew I wanted to collab with her and I'm challenging myself to come up with short ideas. I drew some sketches of the game, which is very close to how it turned out and she was super enthusiastic about participating and even worked harder than I did at first.
We get all carried away with working solo, we forget how much fun it is to work with other people once in a while and what types of energy they can bring to a project. I think that's why Spring Collab is so exciting for me right now, is learning how to work with more new people.
Anyways, yeah, we took our time and had a lot of fun making this short game idea I came up with. Hope you guys like it. I hope to make more little things like this.

Bruh, @redmaverickzero, I can't get passed the starting screen on your game! It says "begin", and I'm clicking, spacebar-ing, enter-ing... Even hitting ESC isn't doing anything.. What am I doing wrong?

Hype up our game!!!
We've finally released a stable build across the net on these sites:
Itch.io
GameJolt
Rpgmaker.net (downloads pending)
SlimeSalad
Just recently TMC added full gamepad support on Windows and Linux 64-bit!
Also we're hosting a global scoreboard table across all sites which you can submit to!
So if you happen lurking around these places please give us a shoutout, comments and share the game XD
If you are on Twitter you can share our release announcement tweet as well:

About an hour before Knight Slights was uploaded last week, Fenrir wanted to adapt it to the OHR Cards Against Humanity deck he has been keeping up with all these years. For the last week, he and I have been making the OHR version of the game which includes some stuff not in the classic version, which lends itself well to the inside jokes of the deck.
There is a shock value system, you don't win or lose from it, but it is fun to see which characters respond. We've got maybe half a dozen scripted scenes like Mogri responding to the nathan.txt card.
I've hired Ravancloak to do the music for Knight Slights Classic and to be used in this game as well.
My plan is to include Knights Slights Classic, Scare Spree, Graffiti Goose and Missing You in a free bundle on Steam this year and probably stick with a multi-cart formula for a while since I've been enjoying smaller games for a while. There's a never released game in my catalog that Soda Piggy and I did and he gave me the approval to finish it up for release, so that'll likely be in Bundle 2. Axe Cop has majorly burned me out from wanting to do another giant mega-long game again I think.

I thought I was done and then Fenrir kept making art. Big giant impressive Bean Boy art. I suspect until we get final music he might keep sneaking new things in, but we'll see. Last night was a huge batch of new art including these giant images we used for a welcome screen that shows up the first time you play the game. I thought if Fen and I put this on sites like itch or Steam, it needs some type of explanation as to why none of this will make sense to anybody.
There's no nudity, but Fen's getting dangerously close to it.

Considering that the number of question and answer cards were fairly similar between the two versions, it was really a no-brainer. Also given that the types of cards seem to fall into "wacky", "serious", and "lewd", they were a pretty good fit to the table's three other players.RMZ wrote:Fenrir wanted to adapt it to the OHR Cards Against Humanity deck
This right here is where the heart and soul of this game lies, and what makes it so much funnier than Knight Slights Classic. Pretty much everyone and everything in the room can react when certain cards are played! The question is - how many times can you get a rise out of people before the game's over?RMZ wrote:There is a shock value system, you don't win or lose from it, but it is fun to see which characters respond.

I started building this in August of last year and kept getting sidetracked trying to make a trailer. All of my attempts stunk. I finally hired Pepsi Ranger to make one and got this live. Add to wishlists or whatever, a lot of you have already played all of these I think. I'm going to upload other new, small titles later on for free too.
Eventually I want to add an arcade shell that players walk around to pick a game and talk to weirdos instead of just picking games from a list.

I think the game is about ready to be released. All music is done. Tons of visual gags, everything works. All that's waiting is probably one final quality check. Fenrir has to look through the pack-in pdf one final time as well.
I made a nifty custom audio menu today which works fantastic! I wish there was the same types of commands for sound effects as there are for songs. I know there's a menu option to adjust sounds, just no plotscripting commands.
Entirely too much work has gone into this joke game, but damn if it isn't one of the better things I've made.

Happy to say that Fenrir and mine's collaboration, the OHR version of Knight Slights is done. For such a filthy game, it really has a level of polish I am quite proud of. Special thanks to everybody who contributed, tested, and encouraged us during the last month. It was a lot of fun doing this one. It's on SS and also on itch. There's a companion pdf that is available if you want to understand some of the references or the though process behind some of the reaction gags.
