MS Paint Palette?

Post by Master K »

I would like to know how to get my OHRRPGCE palette to become my MS paint palette. I'm making char pages for my characters, but one gets color mangled when I put her hero sprite in MS paint.

I'm afraid it's quite impossible, (so far as I understand.)

I have used MSPaint extensively with the OHR and am always amazed to find so many who use the in-editor exclusively. There's an interesting program floating around which I can't remember the name. I think RMSephy and Kitten Masters of the Universe use it. This will bug me all day that I can't remember it...

Also: usually it's the other way around for me. My sprites are mangled when I import from paint and I have to spend time in-editor touching up colors.

I use Graphics Gale, which is the most logical upgrade from MS Paint, IMO.

Graphics Gale is what I use too. It works splendidly.

I'm not sure if there's a way to replace the palette in GG with one of the OHR palettes, but when I work on graphics I just keep the OHR palette I'm using open in a separate window within GG.

You can import any 256 color .bmp as a palette in GG, so just export any backdrop (chances are you already hav eone on hand)

You can do the same for images that have the MS Paint palette embedded in them.
