thanks! i noticed i forgot sneaker's shadow, though. as for the jelly... you'd be surprised what you can do with the oval tool.

I, um... I tried! I really did! Something went pretty terribly wrong, and, well...

Eh, you didn't miss much. It was pretty much me drawing in Photoshop and adjusting the settings so that I could export a 16-color bitmap. Here's how it turned up in custom. Still needs polishing since I didn't add much of any shading. I'll try recording something else and do it entirely in GraphicsGale.

What did you use to record the video? Does the video look okay when you view the original file you uploaded to youtube? I am wondering if you maybe used a file format that youtube doesn't fully support. I have a similar problem whenever I try to upload ogg theora videos, so I have to re-encode them into a different format first before I upload.

I used CamStudio for the screen capture, I've done it before in my reviews for Skyfall and Apophenia. Only difference is I omitted audio, since it was originally an hour-long recording. (For one enemy sprite?! Now I know I was on the wrong track! I shouldn't bother with prettying things up with Photoshop for a basic run o' the mill sprite)

... The rest of the video, aside from the first 30 seconds, was intact, but I'm not satisfied with it. The intent was to display pixel art techniques, right? All I did was draw, and there's nothing informative about that. [s]Tomorrow[/s] Eventually I'm going to try again with a different sprite in GraphicsGale.

I just want to show a battle sprite, too. :)
It's a small snake with wings.

Not too bad, but what type/style of a game are you going for? Have you just starting making this game, if this is part of one?

And if you want suggestions, I think anyone will be happy to help.

Thank you. :)

I'm making a game about a wold full of magical creatures/monsters and two humans that have to find a way home.
I planned it as a 'normal' rpg, so you can make it in OHR without having to use to much plotscripting. ^^" Because plot scripting is still diffcult.

This sprite was part of it, but i decided not to use it in the game.
