There are a lot of games I didn't play this year, which means I probably missed out on some good ones.

It is hard for me to choose favorites, and a lot of these rankings are extremely close. The "best game" ranking was hardest. So many great games this year!

Oops. yes, that was my intention. I also have a feeling it might have placed higher if I had time to play more of it.

That goes for Tightfloss Maiden too. I haven't played all of it, and I feel like if I had, it might have placed higher.

The Wizard's Bomb by Camdog - Everyone knows about my irrational love for this game by now.
Village People: The Videogame by Paul Harrington - This is an absolute joy to play.
Don't Eat Soap by James Paige - A++ WOULD EAT AGAIN
Phantom Tactics by Mogri - Gonna make chapter 2 sometime. If you liked chapter 1...

Best Graphics:
Sleepover by Charbile - No surprise.
Village People: The Videogame by Paul Harrington - I'm a fan of the cartoony style. See also: Do You Want to be a Hero?
Phantom Tactics by Mogri - I really think Twinhamster's battle animations make this game.

Best Design:
Phantom Tactics by Mogri - AI and pathfinding in HamsterSpeak: a bit of a stretch.
Don't Eat Soap by James Paige - Buggy, but still amazing.
The Wizard's Bomb by Camdog - Incredible concept.
KING OF GOURMET: FEAST FOR YOUR LIFE by Hachi-Roku and Gizmog - Another great concept.

Best Writing:
Village People: The Videogame by Paul Harrington - This would merely be a decent game, but the writing makes it fantastic.
OHR House Heroes: Complete by Red Maverick Zero - The writing is the game.
OHR House 3 Complete by JSH - The writing is the game.

Most Ridiculous:
Don't Eat Soap by James Paige - I was not expecting this.

Most Anticipated 2010:
Village People: The Videogame by Paul Harrington - Needs more.
Entrepreneur: The Beginning by Pepsi Ranger - There's a great game lurking in here somewhere. Needs to be more approachable.
Escape from Darkavern by Twinhamster - A guy can hope, can't he?
(I'd put my own games on this list if that weren't simultaneously self-serving and self-deprecating)
