Review!

Post by ChaosNyte »

Here's the deal, first person to call it gets one review of the game of their choice. In return, I want nothing! NOTHING.

But the next review I offer up will require the person that gets it to do something! SOMETHING.

It is a poorly thought out Russian roulette of game reviewing.

If my game was complete, i'd love for the infamous CN to tear it to pieces. Unfortunately, it will be a few more weeks before it is finished :(

I wants a review of Mazes Of Persistence. One that's fair to the game's intentions and not just the contextless why-the-hell-is-the-game-putting-me-through-this two stars it's got now, even.

SHADOWIII YOUR REVIEW IS COMPLETE
NOW GET TO WORK ON A REAL GAME

Uncommon, your review is next. However, for services rendered I require that you choose a game on the list and review it! :v:

If I could get a really good review of either Halloween Quest 2 or Scare Spree that would be great.

I know there isn't much to Intolerance to begin with but that was barely a review.

Surlaw, since I have only recently returned, there is perhaps a larger community dynamic to Intolerance that I am missing, there damn well is for the wreck that is Mazes of Persistence. Maybe they are entries for a terrible game contest? I don't know. If you can enlighten me or perhaps write a review of your own for Intolerance I would certainly be grateful.

I already said there isn't much to Intolerance to begin with, but that's not the point. The point is that a review should be more than a bullet-point summary of the game. Yours reads more like a description an author would post for his own game than a review.

Mazes was a TGC entry, but only because a TGC was being held when I finally decided to make it.

It would've won, too, but for SCHBW.

That reminds me, I really ought to upload the rest of my games.

Intolerance wasn't for a TGC. The "secret" is if you go into his stats (the infinity button in the menu) and hit space until you hit the "Weakness" section (you know, the one that's generically set to earth, fire, water, and other elemental weaknesses) it says his food intolerances (aka "Weakness to Lactose, Weakness to Tomatoes", etc.).

It really was an idea Mr. B and I had on some hiking trip where infinity would go to different stores and die because his RPG elemental weakness made him weak to different foods, power tools, brands of deoderant, etc. Plus, I wanted to make a black and white game.

So there you have it. Also, Infinity isn't a villain par say, but he definitely isn't a good guy. And as far as I know the game doesn't have a following (though it DOES have my favorite game quote ever in it). The only person who I recall liking it besides me and Mr. B was Gilbert.

I certainly didn't dislike it, but it was hardly a game.
