This might be the best House season ever.

OHR House, that is. If we're talking about the TV show, season 1 is probably still the best.

You're kidding. Did people seriously find Jack funnier/more interesting than Bena, or are they just voting because he's a rad dude in real life and Bena is... well, Bena?

Maybe I'm just annoyed because this makes parts of my review totally obsolete.

Well,
People from Gaming World also voted against Bena. I think (and this is just a hunch) that people thought his joke would get old. There's always the Wildcard, I suppose.

I must say I laughed at every single line for 'Bena'.

Sad to me that the Frenchie won't be around longer; hopefully he wasn't voted off because of the real me (yeah yeah, I know I come off as hoity-toity).

Every other character made me giggle too, some more than others, but hey. I look forward to seeing the rest, and actually paying attention so I can vote next time.

edit:
Hmm, maybe it had something to do with the highly subtle request at the beginning for viewers to vote Bena off! conspiracy!!

I could hear the second poem much better than the first. I realize this was probably an issue with the recorders' mics, but unfortunate nonetheless. I would've liked captions.

Other than that, great week, in spite of the hefty wait. The character I really wanted off is on the block this week, so cheers for that.

If you want to know the words, I included lyrics in the zip. Tooma20's mic was pretty awful, yeah. If I ever do a director's cut I might get him to rerecord. I got tired of delaying, so I accepted the poor quality and moved on.

It was near-impossible to sequence correctly with the text (believe me, I tried) so I opted for this method.

Hooray! This was a good week, it was nice to see more development for Komera and Fenrir. The voiced sections were painful, but obviously necessary for it to have the proper effect.

There were certain parts I did like, and some that seemed like reused material from previous seasons.

But the things I did think that were funny were the strip poker scene, and the song choices you picked for the rap battle. But the whole rap battle seemed like you were re-using the rivalry between Poptart and Gilbert in Season 2.

Yeah, because they were exactly the same and had the exact same outcome. Come on, that's the same as saying all voting scenes are the same because the characters basically vote for who they want off every week, or that House 2 was the same as House 1 because it has the same basic plot.

I'm not going to argue that you're right or wrong, but I disagree. Sure, having a contest between two characters is a similar idea to the one in House 2, but the dynamic between Battleblaze and Xerian is nothing like the dynamic between Gilbert and Poptart, who had been hyping up the challenge since week one only to have it end in a disappointing fashion five weeks later. BB and Xerian's showdown was in an entirely different context, destined to be short-lived, not to mention Komera and Nathan were using the drama for their own purposes.

Mind, I'm not saying you "have to like" that part, or any part, of the episode, but I don't think it was a rehashed idea. And certainly using horrible songs performed by people with no business singing was something fresh for the series.

I'm not saying it wasn't good. I did mention in my last post that the singing was pretty good. BB ripping off one show, and Xerian ripping off one of the most emo bands around was great.

And I know there are some things that are going to be the same every episode. Obviouslly the voting, the immunity, and stuff like that. Didn't mean to come off that mean or whatever.

I mean, overall, it was solid. I think Week 1 had better jokes, but this one did take the characters in a different direction. Hell, CN is totally different now.

I was immediately reminded of the action-off, but I think the situation here is pretty different.

I forgot to ask earlier: what does Nathan shoot at Xerian, and why?

It was an arrow. (Nathan dresses as the Green Arrow)

The plan, which won't be divulged in the show really, was to injure Xerian if he failed in order to garner sympathy and keep the vote against Battleblaze. Of course, the audience was so disgusted with Xerian's performance that they failed to care.

Results are up. Not a hard one to call. Some regulars didn't vote, but I doubt it would have mattered.
