I don't have any screenshots. I'm not even making it in the OHR. I just want to say that the next game I'm working on is about a mermaid princess who has to rescue her boyfriend (A human prince) from the DWELLERS OF THE DEEP.
You control the mermaid, who is sort of like a White/support mage. She summons fish/dolphins/crabs/etc that you collect on the way and uses her Harp to sing support songs. The animals act on their own (Just have a few attacks, like Gau's Rages in Final Fantasy VI)
Level ideas include a Poisoned ocean area, Fish out of water stage, Underwater Pirate Ship, and a Pitch black deep sea stage. I might even throw in AQUAMAN as a secret encounter.
This is all sketchy; I just wanted to hear any input from SS. I'm not even close to finishing the story outline or deciding ALL the sea creatures I need. Heck, if you know any good obscure ones, please suggest. Area of the ocean they dwell in is of no concern.

Ika at the moment. Hawk is going to help me learn it, I think. Who knows? I could switch back to OHR eventually. It all depends on what I need.

Because three years will change your style, method of drawing, and the time you can spend on details. I'd redraw the first three routines for consistency, but that'd be more time I don't have and they look really nice.
This is also the last one I'll sketch double-sized. It was an experiment I've been meaning to try, but it's undesirable at this resolution and will have to wait for another project that would work better with it.
I also finally have a name for this game beyond the old working title I've had on it since I came up with the idea.
Also, James! Downloaded the latest nightly to throw together this screenshot, and while I was making that little Return Key icon, ran into a bug! Font characters aren't showing outside the editing window until after you save and quit. Like, it'll show in the window you make them in if you highlight them, but not in the preview board with the rest of them, or in the textboxes.

Hey! I work for that guy! (Just kidding. he only makes inappropriate comments to the retirement-age ladies in the office)
I'll check out the font thing. It is probably just forgetting to reload the in-memory copy of the font as a side effect of TMC's recent font code overhaul.

I thought Vampire's Curse used VoM graphicsRedMaverickZero wrote:Why do you keep reusing the Vampire's Curse graphics? This is the 3rd game now.
But I'll agree with the part that new graphics would be neat.
I"m not sure I completely understand this, but it sounds intriguing!Fen wrote:You'll never quite see the exact same sequence play out identically.
