What are all your old forum nicknames?
Changing avatars is a time honored tradition of internet forums. Changing an avatar is like putting on a new suit of clothes, or donning an amusing mask.
But changing your profile name is a different story. Names are tremendously important for interpersonal relationships. Language occupies a special place in our minds. Words are more than just pieces of information, and names are more than just words. A name is like a key that unlocks a whole set of memories about a person, and when that name is changed, the new name can become a whole separate person in the minds of others.
I remember a lot of old OHR users who have gone away. I am certain that some of them are still here, but that I don't even realize that they are the same people because their profile names have changed. Sometimes people announce that their names have changed-- sometimes I even remember those changes, and manage to merge the two identities in my mind... but not always.
So post here a list of all the forum/chat/irc/whatever nicknames you have used in the community. Maybe we will re-discover some old friends!
* SPAM Man (no longer used because "spam" isn't funny anymore)
* James Paige (my real name)
* Bob the Hamster (I let him use my computer)
* Grishnak (Only on IRC, when I can't remember my nick password)

I have gone by pretty much the same forum handle since I joined up with this community in March 2001 (except for a short stint as The Lone Chimaera when I first joined CP; got tired of people not knowing who I was, and the ones who did know still called me Uncy anyhow). Any time I've been tempted to go with something else I decide against it, just because I'm already known by this name.
I do sign my Hamsterspeak articles as King Rockwell, which is what I go by offline, but usually keep Uncommon in parenthesis just for familiarity's sake.

Once I turned 13 (The age that CP required its members to be), I immediately signed up with the name 'Siamese Hamster';however, I didn't actually participate in the community (not even as a lurker) until half a year later when I thought I had a relatively playable demo of 'Exposing the Unknown'.
Unfortunately, I had forgotten my password to the account, so I had to re-register as 'TwinHamster', which has served me pretty well for a couple years now.
Quite a whiles later I made and alternate account (Out of sheer boredom of CP's inactivity) named 'Inspiration', but this got old pretty quickly.
With the opening of this forum, I smooshed together the two names and came up with 'Twinspiration' (Genius!)
Now it's Twinconclusion because Fortis wanted it to be.

PK-Fortis until 2001, when I got tired of people calling me "PK".
PK was from Pseudo-Kefka, my name on the old square.net forums, about a year before I found the OHRRPGCE (which had to be the summer of 1998? 4 MAP LIMIT REPRESENT)
Fortis originally comes from a magitek armor boss in Kefka's tower named, obviously, Fortis. It was supposedly his personal magitek armor.
When I dropped the PK I looked into it and 'Fortis' is actually 'strength' or 'bravery' in latin depending on who who ask/how you translate it. I really admire courage above all else, so I decided to go with the 'bravery' translation and it stuck ever since.
I don't think I EVER deviated from the 'Fortis' formula ever since I was a part of the OHRRPGCE community. I have gone by 'Funky Fortis' 'Funky D Fortis', and countless other "**** Fortis" type names.
I have also gone by anagrams of 'Funky Fortis' and 'PK-Fortis', including 'Frisky Futon' and 'forkspit'.
If any of you were in the AOL 'Final Fantasy VII' chat room back in 1997-1999, I have gone by the following AOL/AIM names: CaitSth644, SephyCait (ugh), AtmaWeap644, and finally, I am NOT kidding, Kefka. I had the screen name 'Kefka'.
One day I tried to sign in to 'Kefka' and it wasn't mine anymore. Apparently some AIM hiccup in the night caused it to become available and someone snatched it up. I was pretty upset.

Please read Blasphemous Saga Fantasy okay thanks
Around the OHR community I've kept my name as Jack; which is a nickname my friends gave me in middle school (which was also around the time I found the OHR). On some forums I've used voodoocrispy, holyromanstyle, and presently LeTrompe; which I also use for gaming. I think my first AOL name was KToot14.

Oh my goodness!
Only One In All is Xerian Master!?
KittenMaster is Newbie_Power?
And even though Twinspiration and Twinhamster both start with "twin" I had forgotten that you were the same person.
It makes me feel good to know you all are still around!
Am I the only person this happens to? Do I suffer from some kind of name-change-agnosia? Am I the only one who attaches a person's whole identity to their name?

The current handle comes from the nickname given to me in high school, which I earned by being the worst shot in basketball anyone had ever seen. Of course, I was crappy at all sports, but I think people admired that I tried so hard at basketball, so they deemed me worthy of the honorable moniker "no shot."
Other than the "Princess Lana" episode, I haven't gone by anything else.
