At Death's Door - second composition

Post by Only One In All »

This is my second composition, At Death's Door, also for my game.

It kind of sounds like the battle theme from Stenmele Osmium if you've played the recent version, but I assure you this is just coincidence. :P

You know, OOIA, you can still use the midis I wrote for you, if you want to.

The midi's ok. I've never liked dense midi orchestra hits, they can get annoying if used a lot. Why not replace a lot of that with other string instruments, small bell-sounding instruments, and perhaps save the orchestra hits for punctuation on those two last DUN DUN hits?

But if you want to keep it this way, I would suggest at least adding low drum hits.

For what it is, it's alright....

But i feel there's too much dissonance that make it sound more annoying than suspenseful.

I'd be crazy NOT to use the midis you composed for me Bena. These midis I'm trying to compose are to replace other ripped songs, not replace yours :P

I'll see if I can follow your guyses advice and make it feel less annoying. The song would normally only play at most ten seconds (half the playtime) so I think I can do this..
