Fifi nods at the old lady, safely placing the bottle in her bag. She then turns to call out to her party.

"What's the plan, then? Kill or run away from It? I'd rather not destroy this lady's house if it can be helped."

"If you've any offensive magic, now's the time to use it, friend!", Bometrus calls back to Fifi. Drawing one of his throwing knives with his left hand, he watches for an opening as the manticore blindly lashes out, then he rushes forward and slashes at the monster's chest.

(OOC: I'm assuming we have advantage on attack rolls due to the manticore being blinded and squeezing through the door. If the cloud of flour around the manticore is considered to obscure it enough to convey disadvantage on attack rolls, like a Fog Cloud spell, please ignore the second to-hit roll for each weapon.)

(EDIT: Huh. Why isn't Judge Slimehold responding?)

Sazae is peaking down through the trap door when the fighting starts.
The puff of flour seems to distract the manticore as it's attacked.
Bometrus stabs in and deals 10 points of damage. Jenny thumps the monsters for 5 damage. Mug slashes in for 11 damage.

The manticore fights back. It shakes off the flour and bites at Jenny but is blocked by Jenny's shield. Then it seems to lash out with it's tail. Spikes can be seen stabbing through but ultimately getting stuck in the door. The Manticore's claw though swipes across and catches Bometrus, causing 8 points of damage.

"Hey, what's going on down there?" cries the old woman.

Bometrus staggers backwards from the force of the manticore's claws raking across his side. He stoically reflects on the fact that, if he's to be critically wounded, there are much worse places that could happen than inside a potion merchant's home. With renewed determination to protect his companions, he shouts a battle cry and runs at the manticore again, swinging his short sword and knife wildly.
