I think I made a similar post when we were hit with earthquakes 8 years back. Once again tragedy has struck my small, peaceful city. What a scary world we live in.
Been in lockdown most of the day at work, same with many of my friends and family. An iraqi woman I know can't get hold of her son. Just feeling numb, shakey, scared and sick at the moment.
Guo, I hope you're recovering from that trauma. I know such things can be very hard to avoid ruminating on. I heard it very well-put this morning at an ill-timed international workshop, but can't hope to replicate those poignant emotional words. Yet the mood in Christchurch must be much more sombre than here in Auckland. I no longer know anyone living in Christchurch except for you, but it's a great city that has weathered far worse.
