What on earth is that?
The c.c.T.c.c is a cooperative competition with the aim to create free to use Tilesets for the O.H.R.RPG.C.E. engine. Everyone is welcome to participate. Just download the current version of the "ccTcc1.rpg", add some tiles and re-upload.
The Tileset will be licensed under CC-0 so it can be used freely in commercial and non commercial projects without the need to mention the author.
When the Tileset is finished I'm going to upload it to Bitbucket so that we can link to it in the wiki.
Technical stuff:
Tilesets:
- You will find two Tilesets in the RPG file.
"exterior" is for landscape, house fronts and the like
"interior" is for rooms in a house, dungeons and stuff
Perspective: 3/4 (JRPG standard)
The upper 8 rows are reserved for single frame tiles without animation
The lower 2 rows are reserved for animated tiles. Please limit animations to 3 frames.
- The test maps consist of 3 layers
Layer 1 "background" is for drawing the basic ground tiles and walls of the map
Layer 2 "foreground" is for drawing items like crates, tables, ...
Layer 3 Heros and NPCs
Layer 4 "floating" is for everything on top of the player like treetops

Rules:
This is the first attempt to create a community Tileset so we will keep things simple.
- - Try to imitate the art style of your predecessors to keep a consistent look.
- The Tileset shall be in 3/4 ratio thus usable in a normal RPG project.
- Stick to the standard master pallet please.
- Use as few colours as possible and as many as needed.
- Feel free to create tiles that span over multiple cells.
- You may edit other peoples tiles (add shading, rearrange perspective, divide it into different layers, etc.) but please don't replace them completely.
Here are some screen shots from Pokemon on Gameboy Advance as a reference.
They are just to get some inspiration, no need to copy the art style.
How to participate:
- - Download the current version of the "ccTcc1_xx.rpg" (where "xx" stands for the current version).
- Add a place holder post to this thread saying something like "I'm next" in order to block the thread and avoid chaos
- Draw some tiles and add them to the sample maps
- Increase the version number of the RPG file by one digit, upload your "ccTcc1_[xx+1].rpg" to a filehoster of your choice and post the download link together with some screen shots of your tiles
- Next one please ...
