You're far too delighted for any of this to be good, says Sharn to herself in her head. "EVERYONE OUT!" Sharn yells. "Here, makes sure she finds her sister and leaves," Sharn replies to Normin. "This place is collapsing. I'm going to run and get the magic bucket and join you all."
Sharn resists the urging to leave from her fiendish personia, as well as anyone actually present, and heads upstairs after the bucket.

"A dire outcome. Very well then, I'll let you decide if you think the bucket is worth your life, it seems this building is collapsing as quickly as I expected."

He looks upward to Silva and urges her to follow, "I hope you aren't one to stay on a sinking ship for family, I've already seen a man's life wasted for his 'children'." He suddenly lets out a muffled chuckle, "I don't mean real, living children, of course. Come now, architectural supports aren't the kind to wait."

He will turn around and begin to descend once more, regardless of what Silva decides to do.

Cece really does not want to die today. "Eet was a boom, yes? We are no' boom-fighters. Can we stop a boom with a bucket?" In her mind, this building is officially already burnt down and the only thing left is to get as many people out as possible.

If nobody else makes the first move (because frankly their first moves have been way smarter), Cece starts knocking on doors and ordering people out.

Being somewhat unnerved by the explosion, Petrol was inclined to agree with Cece. "Yeah, I think we're ill-equipped to deal with the fire. Let's just get as many people out of here as we can."

Caldon, Cece, Ebald, Petrol

Caldon returns to the stairs. He can feel that the woman is breathing faintly.

When he reaches the stairs, he can see through the window that opens in to the central courtyard. Previously it had been merely a little smokey, but now the central courtyard is bathed in red light, and some substance that looks vaguely like burning feathers is raining gently down from above.

Cece and Petrol begin pounding on doors and shouting for people to get out. They hammer on all the doors in the current segment of the hallway without getting any response from any of them.

<img src="https://i.imgur.com/GRvhM6b.png">
The red jagged shape in the west hallway is the hole in the roof that Caldon and Elsinore fell through. No flames are on floor 3 yet.
Sharn

Sharn rushes up the stairs to the 5th floor to retrieve the bucket. A stream of water is cascading down the stairs.

When she reaches the 5th floor hallway, it is choked with smoke and steam. Mostly steam. It seems that her Unseen Servant spell had been effectively wielding the bucket here. What little of the walls, floor, and ceiling that she can make out are both fire-blackened and completely drenched with water.

There is a red glow coming from the south, but the hallway to the north is in darkness, and her darkvision isn't able to penetrate the smoke and steam to see exactly why.

The floor has several inches of water on it, soaking her feet. There is a clear flow of water, coming from the north end of the hall. The bucket must have fallen on its side.

Normin

Silva follows Normin down the stairs

"There is nothing up there that should explode like that!" Silva exclaims. "That wasn't our... That wasn't.... I don't know WHAT that was!"

Arcadia & Evangeline

Large flakes of ash begin settling slowly like snow all around.

Some of the people in the crowd are thrown into a panic by the blast, and some run away. Others remain watching. Some move further away. People are now pouring out of the nearby buildings, so the street is getting more crowdeded overall, even though the area directly in front of the burning building is emptying.

Kailyn

"Whatever is burning, blew up!" explains Piter.

"You can move if you want. I have your pose finished, and I can finish the facial details later in a second sitting."

Normin doesn't hesitate to continue, and urges Silva to continue on bypassing the 2nd floor with the grease (which should disappear by now). He speaks quizzically, "An explosion..? Quite a few things could cause a blast, especially magical components. Never mind who did it, tell me what did and perhaps I might have some idea how it worked."

Intellect check based on Silva's response: 1D20+3 => (11 + 3) = 14 (Add +2 for Arcana if relevant)

"And if I don't know, well, I'm sure I'll find someone that does."

"Something was burning? Where?" With that, Kailyn turns around to look over the horizon, trying to find some sign of whatever it was Piter was talking about.

Ebald agrees with his two fellow firefighters that the group cannot put out the fire at this point and joins in their search for people still in need of rescue.

Sharn follows the stream of water in hopes of finding the bucket. She uses the fire cloak to block the smoke and steam from her face.

Caldon notes the strange phenomenon with some worry, but he can't stop to examine it at the moment. He has to leave now!

Cece continues pounding on doors, losing her cool demeanor as she starts to feel like the fire is closing in.

Normin

"I don't know who or what did this, I just know it wasn't me." says Silva.
insight check wrote:d20+INT+Proficiency = 6+1+0 = Fail
You can't guess if she is being sincere in this denial.

You do however, suspect that whatever caused that explosion up above may not have been a spell. You can't tell for sure, but it sure didn't feel arcane.

Sharn

Sharn covers her face with the cloak, and fumbles blindly "upstream".

She can feel the floor sagging a little under her feet.

The first thing her outstretched hand touches is not the bucket, but a chunk of wet partially charred wood. She can feel the texture of the burned part and the texture of the hard splintered part. It seems to be diagonal across the hallway in front of her.

The water is still flowing strongly against her feet, deeper now.

The fiend voice in her head giggles.

The sound of fire cracking in the roof is audible, not above, but off towards the center of the building.

Caldon

Caldon ignores the spectacle of burning falling feathery somethings in the central courtyard. He simply focuses on the task of getting down the stairs quickly and safely while carrying the wounded woman.

He reaches the first floor, and can see Arcadia and Evangeline standing in the street out the front door.

Cece, Ebald, Petrol

The three continue pounding on doors, around the corner.

When Ebald hits one door with his fist, it flies open, revealing a darkened stairwell landing. There is a hint of red light from above, and a lot of old dusty debris strewn around, suggesting that this stairwell is not often used.

The three continue hammering on doors and getting no response until they reach an apartment near the back.

As Petrol pounds on the door, and Cece shouts "Run for your lives!", the door is abruptly yanked open from inside.

"What's all this ruckus!" screeches a very old, very wrinkly, very naked human man. "AAH! PEEPERS!" he immediately screams when he catches sight of the three in the hall.

He immediately slams the door shut again

"Peepers! Peepers spying on our sexytime!" comes his shrill voice from inside.

"Bar the door, Pa! I'll fetch the crossbow!" answers a different, equally shrill female voice.

The three rescuers can hear a crossbar slamming down on the back of the door.

Kailyn

"Oh.. Ah.. Okay, I'll finish later." says Piter when Kailyn turns his head.

Kailyn can see that the normally clear view of the northern sky from his balcony is marred by a big smear of smoke.

There is a long thin stream of smoke stretching upwards diagonally, and a big angry plume of smoke rising much closer to the rooftops, probably the aftermath of the big noise he heard just moments ago.

The fire is roughly in the direction of headquarters.

"I can complete the background now, and finish the body details later from a second sitting when it is convenient for you." offers Piter graciously.

As the fiend In Sharn's head cackled, A million different outcomes burst into her head. The floor below her would collapse and she would be impaled by a a support beam. The roof above her would fall in, crushing her in an instant. The bucket had caused the explosion when the fiend threw it in a fire and it was destroyed. She was wasting her time. She would return empty handed and be kicked out of the group for losing the bucket. She would have to go and join a brothel to escape from the constant physical attack coming from her former friends. In a moment of unclariety she would kill one of them, she had done it before.
Sharn shook her head. "I won't do it! I won't leave without it!" She yelled. She shot an Eldritch blast toward the ceiling, aiming as far in front of herself as she could. She hoped this would clear some of the smoke before continuing to search for the bucket.

Normin hmms, a magical related incident could easily be accidental due to the unpredictable nature of material components interacting, but an explosion using chemical reactions would require more deliberate interaction. "I won't accuse you, I've no reason to."

Hopefully they will be out of the building soon.
