Testing interest in another D&D game(After Castle Amber end)

I'd like to get in on this. I'm actually in a regular RPG group off-line. However, I've never played 5th edition. Will there be some coaching on the rules and character creation process?

Yes, after the Castle Amber thread finishes, I'll start a thread for character creation, and to go over rules.

Most of my own knowledge of D&D 5th edition comes from listening to podcasts where they play it. I am an avid fan of both "Adventure Zone" and "Pretend Wizards"

Yay! Long time no see!

With so many people interested, I am thinking of splitting you guys into two parties, each with its own thread, and letting you compete to complete the same quest from different angles

What do you all think of that idea?

I'd be interested in playing in this. My only experiences with D&D like rpg games are a Pathfinder campaign, a game called Toon and some homebrewed game my friend made which nobody actually understood but I'm interested.
