Review of OHRadius

Post by Meowskivich »

Ah, OHRadius, I remember when I first played this game. It was about a little over a year ago, but luckily I recorded it as a let's play (seen here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8_apJfYR2vE), so I can recollect me thoughts on it.

It's a fun little space shooter with a mildly interesting, though short, story. It's gameplay length is rather laughable though, as I could beat the game easily within 15 minutes, that is, as long as the game doesn't glitch out or something else of that unfortunate sort happens. Reviewing my play through, I was reminded of how I was so incredibly unsure what my possible hit box was, and that caused more problems than anything of certain sorts.

However, this is a game type made on an engine that wasn't even meant for it, so you gotta give it some bonus points for that. The music was alright, from what I recall, though it wasn't entirely original (if I remember right, the fire level was dragon quest 4 boss music, or at least battle music). And the graphic were just dandy.

And here it is, my score for this game, on a scale of 40:

Story: 5 out o' 10

Graphics: 7 out o' 10

Music: 5 out o' 10

Gameplay: could use some work on those bugs, 3 out o' 10

total: 20 out o' 40

With bug fixes, and some more meat to the game, it could be pretty awesome. I suggest that any of you who enjoy a decent space shooter should take a gander at this some time, though don't hope for the time of you life. But worth checking out, for sure. -Meowskivich :v:

SCORE GIVEN: 20 out of 40
