Stop being sour that I'm an unimaginable godlike being and you're a pleb.
the purpose of editing is to transform the unpalatable to the manageable.
EDIT: i'm a JERK yes I KNOW I'm WORKING ON IT

Proofread first, then say what you'd like - it cuts down on editing. If you have to keep changing what you wrote, maybe you need to take more time in reading over your work before you hit that submit button? Yes, I may miss new information in between when I start writing and when I finish, but forum discussions are usually (slower) than in other communication methods.

You're really leaning into this, aren't you?
Here's my recommendation: four out of every five times you write a post, hit the back button instead of the post button. It will make you consider what's worth saying and what's a waste of time. It's solid advice for anyone, but especially for anyone without a strong buffer between brain and keyboard.

Already missed the point. Show yourself.don't tell me, show me
Anybody remember when this was a game thread trying to get some team members? You want to be recognized for who you are, when it only really matters how you are. What a resplendent god-like figure you are for never having figured that out.

It was all Sarcasm? Everything?
Seriously, take Mogri's advise.
Swordplay, just post less.
Not never, just maybe limit yourself.
We don't hate you and we don't want you to leave. (Well maybe some of us do)
I think it's just that you are incredibility hard to talk to and you're insanely arrogant for seemingly no reason.
But, let's say you were Notch and made one of the biggest video games ever and you're a multi-millionaire. We'd all still be annoyed by what is being posted.
Now, I know I've just posted directly to you. But think it over. You don't actually have to post a reply!

oh dear lol
yes. i'm mostly being sarcastic. you find me difficult because you don't take everything with a pinch of salt. And they say Americans don't understand British humour.
I get on with a lot of people, pretty good. I would say. Maybe not?
But they usually take what I say with a grain of salt.
Shall I say: "you will never understand"?
I'd rather say: "listen to me"
but few willingly will on good faith alone.
Most people will not work with others who they perceive as incompetent.
That's my experience from being approached or approaching others for projects.
But, don't listen to me... I'm obviously not trying to help you or anything!
It's not l-like i feel sorry for you BAKA
Whoever can handle the slime can handle life.
Whoever can handle life can handle the slime
If I wanted to make it alone, I would do that. I believe that I could.
But I'm here in this thread. Make of that what you will.
I don't know what the next 15 years will hold, but I know no-one will care about this thread. In more ways than one.
That's why I try to make nice threads to help people. But there seems to be no point...
Maybe I should let the community help itself? They're good enough that they don't need me. I would just get in everyone's way. Whatever. I wanted to be a hermit anyway. The only reason for staying is if someone(s) made it worthwhile, more than what I would have on my own.
In my opinion I already have that, I have a lot of love for members in this community, they made it all worthwhile, even if I leave tomorrow...
But I feel so much left unsaid. Is this not your real life? So live it truly!
But when I say it, I fear it is misheard.
I am British. We often say things we don't mean, or that are difficult for Americans to wrap their heads around, often things have the opposite meaning to what an American might consider.
Some things are practically unthinkable for Americans!
There is rather more dry humour, black humour and self-deprecation, and sarcasm, in British speech.
Most people do not understand the differences
There is no exhaustive list anywhere, as far as I know.
It doesn't translate well for an American audience!
This is meant to be self deprecating, not serious. I am not American.
It's much more common for British people to take the piss out of themselves (self-deprecation), sarcastically. Shall I say "you wouldn't understand"?
