National TMC Appreciation Day
We still need to figure out a National TMC Appreciation Day. But my original thought was to have us all not ask him for a single thing that day.
I've had a change of heart on that. We should flood every channel with ridiculous requests and monumentally dumb questions.

Cake is always good.
So how about World Cake Day? Unfortunately I found four different dates which were claimed as World/International/National Cake Day. I think we'll just have to resign to celebrating National/Inernational TMC/Cake Appreciation Day whenever we feel like it's time for cake.

It seems we have a clear vote here. I now know TMC's birthday, but it will not be revealed until the proper time!
Frankly though... I surprised nobody voted for "ation of the Town of Sudbury to commemorate Empire Day, when we try to remember the names of all those from the Sudbury area who so gallantly gave their lives to keep China British. So from now on, the cormorant is strictly OUT OF BOUNDS. Oh and Jenkins?"
But hey, let the obvious road be the one least taken.

Had it not been for the tyranny of the pre-screened ballot options, my vote was for Septoctobvember the ?th; the (almost) glorious day that Fufluns was (formerly) destined for release (11th time lucky).

Shouldn't this be International TMC Appreciation Day seeing as how he and James live in other countries besides the USA?
I like the idea of hiding secret shrines in RPGs, but they should be consistent of pretty advanced stuff!
I definitely try to include the duo of James and Ralph when I can. TMC is an NPC in town and he usually has a lot of RPG-ish things to say but sometimes he talks about what it's like to herd sheep. James runs a shop in town and uses the Bob the Hamster wall clock I got from Cafepress years and years ago.

I also laughed out loud at the idea of making something that wouldn't make it to New Zealand and posting a picture of that.

Two things --
1. A community calendar would be really cool to have on the bottom left corner of the forums. It could be filled with community days like this, game jams, contest deadlines, etc. Maybe customization to the user who is logged in, so, for example, I could filter out user birthdays, community days, but still see game jams and deadlines (if I were anti-community).
2. There should be a James day, too. Either on his birthday, or July 5th, the birthday of SPAM.

That day was probably filled with requests? I doubt he would not respond tho. How are we supposed to stop every single person making requests?Bena wrote:But my original thought was to have us all not ask him for a single thing that day.
How about just allow him to ignore requests?
Fantastic ideas, one and all. Let us take this sagely advice to heart.Bob wrote:* Posting photos of ourselves baking things that wouldn't survive being mailed to New Zealand
* Adding secret shrines to TMC to hidden areas in our RPGs
* Taking a long walk and not thinking about games at all, in his honor
* Cake!
I'm going to mail him a backrub. I know a guy.
One day you're going to become a cake.TMC wrote:Cake is always good.

Seems tmc voted for his mother's birthday? We should probably honour that.Bena wrote:It seems we have a clear vote here. I now know TMC's birthday, but it will not be revealed until the proper time!
Maybe have 2 tmc days? tmc'mas and tmc'eve? happy new tmc?
that's incredibly sweetRMZ wrote:I definitely try to include the duo of James and Ralph when I can. TMC is an NPC in town and he usually has a lot of RPG-ish things to say but sometimes he talks about what it's like to herd sheep.
