Secret Santa!? [THERE'S NO TIME MAN!]

Post by Spoonweaver »

Greetings and Happy Holiday To Everyone in OHR-land!

This year, I would like to attempt a Secret Santa Gift Exchange here at Slimesalad.com.

For those of you that may not know, Secret Santa is where you sign up to send a gift a random person a gift and receive a gift from another random person. The person you send it to is assigned to you at random from the list of other people that sign up, and the person sending you a gift is kept a secret [ unless they want to reveal it to you ].

If you would like to sign up, please reply below. I will be randomizing the choices on the 10th. I hope that's enough time for people to sign up. We will need at least 8 people to sign up to be able to do this so I hope we can pull it off. We are not planning on doing any late sign ups, so please sign up soon.
And please don't gift shame, no matter what you get.

Nice! I'll play!

Fair warning; I might acquire the present before I even know who I am giving it to :)

I'm terrified of the post office, but I'm willing to sign up because this sounds like a huge ton of fun. I'm assuming we're talking about a literal, physical gift exchange.

yes

physical gifts are to be expected

though steam gifts might be nice, the idea would generally be to send something int he mail.

also, I thin k we should put a 25 dollar limit so people feel more at ease financially about their gift giving

If it's physical, then heck yeah. I like spreading Christmas cheer.

More than half way to the minimum amount of people I think this will require!

Things are looking jolly!

I'll do this, one of you could definitely probably use a box of junk.

I can vouch that The Wobbler's boxes of junk are the best. I received this (among other things) in one of his boxes years ago, it still guards my monitor against evil spirits

If random oddities I happen to have laying around the house (and oh man are there plenty of those) work as gifts for this, then sure, I'll join in. Never actually done one of these before!

Should shipping costs be part of the approximate $25 budget?

Well, someone did bring up international shipping costs in the discord channel.

I suppose in those cases, we should think small. Smaller packages ship cheaper.

Overall, yea we should assume shipping costs into the cost. Because of that let's bump the max up to 30.

Well with seven I think we have enough to go ahead with this so it’s officially going to happen.

There’s still time to sign up!
Everyone has until December the 10th

A good idea.
I'd like to take part. :)
I just don't know how long shipping takes, let's hope it arrives in time if send after the 10th.
